Captain America 2: April 2014

Was I the only one bored with Thor 2? The story seemed really weak to me, it's essentially Thor going back home, fighting an incredibly lame villain (I love Christopher Eccleston, but the amount of CGI and make-up takes away any emotion from his performance) and not committing to Jane Foster. His character doesn't do much, Loki has a more interesting story in that movie

Regardless, Cap 2 has got me pumped. You can tell it's going to be amazing...and i'll bet anything that Robert Redford's character is going to be the bad guy

Marvel does things right

...Until you realize their movies really don't hold up after consistently rewatching them enough times (Iron Man 3, Thor, Captain America, and ESPECIALLY Avengers). Not to mention their tv shows, live action and cartoons, suck compared to DC.

Cap II doesnt look all that special to me

Congratulations for being in the minority

I saw this movie today, and even with very high expectations, it still blew me away with its kinetic action sequences, fast paced plots, and amazing performances all around. Evans truly delivered as Steve Rogers/Capt. America, and in the end you know you want to follow him whenever he goes because he was so inspirational. This movie is the real deal.

I just don't have words to express myself. Everything was awesome.
Best movie in MCU.

Saw Cap 2 last night!
It was great. Everything I was hoping for, and more.

Also, loved the mid-credits scene they had. Makes me really excited for the future of the MCU.

Captain America 2 was okay. Not at all enough Winter Soldier for a movie with that subtitle, somewhat formulaic, and a very big story when a much smaller and personal story between Cap and Winter Soldier would have been more than enough. The action was cool but the camera was too far up Steve's butt for me to enjoy it most of the time, Evans is amazing as Cap but never given anything much to do, and the Winter Soldier has about 10 minutes of stuff to do in a movie titled after him.

The movie also felt like it really really wanted to be Rated R, but they had to make do with PG-13. There are some moments of brutal action, but others where everything is unbelievably clean. A bus gets t-boned by a semi and the worst thing that happens it seems is that a woman loses her shoe. The CG in the movie was very sketchy at times.

This movie is not the best Marvel movie by far (I don't even think it's the best Captain America movie), but it's not the worst either. It's so mediocre and middle of the road in everything it tries to do.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but Thor 2 is still the strongest Marvel sequel.

If you liked Winter Soldier, good for you, I'm clearly in the minority.
