Candidates for Live-Action Sailor Moon US version

IMO, I don't think that a US version of PGSM wouldn't work. Why? If the US PGSM were to go beyond the Dark Kingdom arc... How would the US version handle Haruka and Michiru's relationship, among other things?

Exactly my point. Remember the Cloverway version of Sailor Moon S?!

Now that was a nightmare. Worse than the DiC version of Sailor Moon & Sailor Moon R.

My guess is that Disney would waterdown the relationship of Haruka/Sailor Uranus & Michiru/Sailor Neptune because of the issue with the same sex relationships.

Well they can do what they did with Camp Rock- Demi Lovato started there. so did Debby Ryan, who debuted in The Suite Life on Deck as Bailey Pickett. and HSM3: Senior year had three newcomers (Two American Boys and One British Girl).

So maybe if Disney did PGSM (either movie or for television), well, hope they start out with newcomers. including you kC.

I'd rather not know.

I don't think anyone would ever touch Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, especially Disney.

They reverted to guy in their casual forms when originally they were girls.
Takeuchi-san wanted to make the Sailor Starlights appear as crossdressing females in the anime originally, but the series director and the company that aired the anime of SMSS screwed it up and made them appear physically as guys instead of girls. Which brought us to the whole controversy of which gender the Sailor Starlights were over the years.

Sheesh.....now is that sheer laziness or what?!

While I'm sure that the US has a lot of great talent, to be sure. I'm skeptical of the fact that they could actually pull off the later stuff in Sailor Moon. I'm pretty sure they could handle the original Sailor Moon and a bit of Sailor Moon R... Sailor Moon gets a 'little' complex when S comes around.

Especially the Outer Senshi, and not just Haruka and Michiru. Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto is a pretty deep character (Although, IMHO, Lucy Liu could pull off this role quite well.)... But I'm not so sure whether or not an American actress could pull off Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn. She's pretty darn complex for a girl her age.

Ok Guys I may have the solution: The Producers can consult with Takeuchi-san on what to do. it may make something better.

It's been said before though.

While this is all hypothetical, she wouldn't allow Disney to even touch Sailor Moon.

She was pissed off enough, when the Anime was altered.

She's not going to let Disney of all people alter the characters and storyline.
