How exactly does that work? Reading that page it just sounds like they are having a contest to have some one else join their "elite" group of what they consider are a better quality group of fans. IMO, fans are fans.

It's worded and framed.... poorly I think. I don't think they're trying to pick a fan that's better than the other fan. I *think* what they're going for is acknowledging that they know the fanbase is out there and being in contact with the fanbase through representatives.

Fans are fans.

Pretty much. Just seems like they wanted (and now have) a group of credible sites and people in the fandom they can use to, i don't want to say "control" but to heard opinion in a favourable direction for them.

As i have seen some speculate, HJU was not approch because ether we are not seen as credible (more like a rumor mill) or they think they won't be able to control Keith. :coolshades:

That's just speculation.

The real answer is a bit more obvious. People in Saban... some of them are new to the job. They haven't been a part of the fandom for years and don't know the the **** tokusatsu is.

HJU is mad credible thanks to our news team and Tom making sure we stay on point with good news.

What we don't have compared to the other sites is....... we don't come up first when you do a search for Power Rangers. We don't do a lot of Power Ranger news and we don't even have a Power Ranger dedicated forum. Just cuz the fandom knows we're out here, doesn't mean someone who just got the job in marketing would even know to do a search for Super Sentai.

Talking to the Saban Brand folks in person, they want me on this. One of the guys said to me, "Get in contact with us. We.... have something we want to talk to you about." My wildest dreams had me thinking they wanted to hire me, but the reality... is this. This is what they wanted to talk to me about. :sweat:
