I've been reading a really good book. It's called Elantris, by Brandon Sanderson. He's the guy that Robert Jordan's widow/editor chose to finish the Wheel of Time...

I caught up on Dragon Knight finally, and attempted to clear up an issue with my health insurance. :shakefist

Reading books is a great way to spend your time, most people hardly do that anymore.

Now that mid-terms are over, I can relax a bit.

it's amazing how a lot of high schoolers spend much of their time at the library i go to every single day.

a science fiction novel?

It's actually a fantasy novel. I usually prefer fantasy to science fiction.

the only fantasy book i could remember readin (off the top of my head) was "the book of three" by lloyd alexander.

Really? Fantasy is mostly my favorite genre of book to read when it's just for enjoyment. You've never read Lord of the Rings or The Chronicles of Narnia? That's just sad. :disappoin

I actually own all the Lloyd Alexander ones, though they aren't my favorites. There are some of them I like better than others, so I just re-read those.

yeah i hate readin! & i'm pretty sure a lot of us when we were all in grade school all the way through high school, we were just forced really to read. does watchin the movies of those count?

kewl, so you know about that book then. how'd you like it btw?

The Book of Three? It's a pretty good opener to the series. It's been years since I last read it, but I recall liking it. Though the reason I read it is because I played the computer game when I was a kid. Though the computer game was actually based on The Black Cauldron, which is book two of the series.

I never hated reading. I didn't teach myself to read like some kids do, but once I learned, I was off! I hated reading out loud in class because I would always be several chapters ahead of the rest of the class, but had to follow along just in case I got called on to read.

i enjoyed the book & it was a favorite of mine. but considering i was only in 6th grade at that time, a lot of the words were hard to understand (words that we don't usually use). anywayz, it wouldn't be such a bad idea if i were to re-read the book eh!

there was a black cauldron game! for what system?:O_O:

ok fine i'll be honest. i don't hate readin that much, just a little lol. but i nowadays i don't even get to read at all. the last novel i've read (which i didn't even finished) was "the time machine" by hg wells. and that was way back in '06.

btw, i've collected all of wells' works but never finished readin any of them!

The game was actually for a computer. I never owned a game system of any kind when I was a kid.

Time Machine, huh? That's actually the only HG Wells book I've ever read. Didn't like it that much, but I think I was in 6th or 7th grade at the time, so I might like it better now. Though it was really more of a social commentary than anything else, so maybe not.
