Well, at least some of the stuff coming from Marvel looks promising.

Yeah hasn't been a good day for a Marvel fan... One thing though why is there a normal Punisher? I thought Frank was staying as FrankenCastle. And why is Wolverine in a street level event book when he doesn't even live in New York anymore? Wolverine doesn't have to be everything, when will the realize this just hurts the character in the long run. Remember how big Ghost Rider was in the 90's and how that was handled. Anyway overall nothing here jumps out at me, hoping Cup o' Joe offers something, well at least something that will offset the rage inducing OMIT. This is going to be a long weekend.

The Infinity Gauntlet/Crusade/Wars/Second-Hand Gift Ceritificate event returns, Marvel ripping off Green Arrow's "Cry for Justice" with all that catherdral and arrow imagery, and Spidey on just about everything ever.

Yeah, I'll be in the forthcoming D.C thread...where the interesting and relevant stuff happens.

I think the New Avengers are supposed to relagated to local street level situations now.

I was really hoping Quicksilver would be on Secret Avengers or New Avengers. I am not looking forward to Avengers Academy.

I was hoping we'd hear more about Young Avengers Children's Crusade, apparently Magneto, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch will appear in that. Which means family reunion for Billy and Tommy. :buttrock:

Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet looks like it will be good.

"DC SUCKS!"
:castlerock: Yeah Marvel Fangirl for life!!! I've stayed even through the worst of times!

Yeah, because heaven forbid it's much easier to reward male chaunvenistic brain-dead **** with no heroes or consistency than anything that demonstrates redemption and constant maturity. D.C is the better company in ANY argument. Marvel are for people who refuse to grow up and end up taking a pub attitude to life.

Real Marvel fanboys know what the company used to represent....and it's a shame only 10% of the comics there represent that previous sense of respect to readers and character consistency. How anyone can defend that garbage needs to see a shrink.

You really want to get into this? Identity Crisis which is seen as starting for the "new DC" era was centered around turning a C-list villain into a rapist and the Justice League mindwiping everyone. Or how about the senseless deaths of anyone that have ever been connected to the Teen Titans for no reason other than shock value. And connected to that how about whenever DC now tries to re-launch a team there is good chance the previous incarnation will met a gruesome death. And what about Cry for Justice the lead-in miniseries for the new Justice League writer which has been said by DC to return the Justice League to prominence. You know the one where the villain killed one of the few teams that wasn't just a bunch of white people and where he also skinned one of DC's few homosexual characters. The same miniseries that had the Atom torture people. And where the Red Arrow not only lost his arm in a pointless and gruesome manner but also his 10 year old daughter all so Green Arrow could get a revamp. Plus there is the line that suggests that Hal Jordan got two fan favorite superheroines drunk and had a threesome with them all in the effort to make Hal "relatable".

It's comic books, you can't equate comic books to real life.

I'd read Captain America's Happy Rainbow Unicorn Adventures, over anything in the DC verse these days.

And don't start in with the "Real" whoever BS, because I have been reading Marvel Comics for almost 20 years now. When I was five I started reading old comics my dad had and fell in love with Iron Man, the Avengers and Fantastic Four. I'll still be reading Marvel comics as long as they are around and have a book I want to read.
