Bruce Interview 3 - This Time It's Personal (Submit Questions)

I'd like to make a question for Bruce Kalish.....

  • So since you and other translated almost all of Magiranger and hardly reshot some of NZ footage. Are you gonna make OO to be completely NZ footage and use less Sentai footage?

Even though, Bruce... I know I don't like Dino Thunder but I would like you to watch Dino Thunder and see how they handled. Dino Thunder has all NZ footage completely and used less Sentai footage.

I hope you guys can do, like what they did with Dino Thunder. Please, please don't use alot of translation and sentai footage. Very less is fine, I don't mind.

I think this is all I got, Bruce. Still, no offence. But please... make up your own ORIGINAL idea, especially others' idea, not copy what Boukenger do.

What I think he'd think is, "What's the point? If I'm honest I'll get ripped a part and if I'm not.... then I'm not being honest!"

I'll do it if he wants to, but I'm not betting on anything.

I agree with the theorized sentiment, JC. In reality, there might not be a point to it if some are going to look at it as another reason to hate the guy. But really, I don't think someone as professional as Bruce would worry about it. It's only a minority that are jerks, and why care about what they think? In the end he's either going to do it and be happy that the majority are going to appreciate it or he won't do it because he just doesn't have the time to "dance" for a fandom that's not his target demographic. Which I wouldnt blame him

Because there not a minority, there fans, like you and me, and he had no problem being an unprofessional jackass himself in the last interview which did'nt help to quell that resentment from the "minority" anyway, I say all's fair in love and war.

That might be a bit harsh. At least I got a sense that he tried harder than last year. I still think he needs improvement, but by calling him an unprofessional jackass, you're just burning your bridges.

C'mon, what I said was a love letter compared to anything on the level of "Kalish needs to be hit with a large truck"

The first interview was fine, professional, aloft, considerate, straight up, the second interview's tone was off base, brash, more interested in insulting the fandom and pleasing his sheep than actually giving a sincere interview, he was looking for a fight the last time, he undoubtedly will be looking for one again.

Mystic Force WAS an improvment over SPD, but not by much, it's fallen apart again, some might say after "The Gatekeeper" like me, with a great rebound with "Heir Apparent", followed by this sordid translation story, obviously explosions took greater priority again over story, a story that had the best oppertunity to be the most concise and consistent of any season given it's number reflecting near-US standard seasons for shows.

The thing that did him in, IMO, was the joke that went over everyone's head.

RitoRevolto's Rangercast specificly pointed out how everyone took it too seriously and overreacted.

Rangercast is'nt a big time fan of SPD or MF either, but that felt more like "damage control" than anything else to secure future relations. There's no real way of telling if he meant that or not
