Um, what? Akashi had to back out because his suit/he himself could not take it, not the vehicle. The Bouken suits weren't upgraded to Neo-Parallel Engine until long after Eiji arrived.

That's correct. Eiji was powered by the Neo-Parallel and needed it to counter the Questers, the core Boukengers weren't upgraded until after SirenBuilder first appeared. By then they had mastered the use of the aux vehicles.

Just an update.

Currently, I'm in the middle of exams and finals. I WILL however, resume this exact thread after June 18th, you heard me. June 18th.

And if things go well (and If Operation Overdrive doesn't kill fans like me to wane away like Stack did, you can expect me back with Geki ->PR08 thread next year...)

Back to the whole June 18th thing, to reward you all with such patience I WILL dedicate you to an average of 2-3 episodes (From Pirate in Pink - Follow the Ranger) that whole week. The following week I'll have Face to Face and Man of Mercury following that weekend to have Behind the Scenes and Just like Me up as well.

Again, stay tune cause I just might resume early this year.

I'm back after a long break. You all know the drill, so let's get started with this.

Task 5 - Pearl of the Empire vs OO's Pirate in Pink

Adaptation/Translation:
Obviously an adaptation. Task 5 gave us a backstory on Sakura and her "serious" mood" while Pirate in Pink gave us Rose's focus on becoming a pirate. Aside from the battle footage, it was adapted to fit the whole "jewel" storyline.

Shizuka in disguise, trying to make an underground deal with the next precious, the pearl.
As per the storyline, the rangers finally made it to the carribean to find the next Jewel. St. Lucia I believe was their next destination.

Shizuka summoned Takumigami, a monster that can generate items or stuff with the power of his engines.
Miratrix wanted to get the jewel before the rangers so she and with a little help from Kamdor, summoned the "unnamed" monster.

Aside from Sakura's personality problem, Chief seems to be sidelining her in battles.

The Boy finds the pearl but refuses to give it to Sakura unknown of her Boukenger identity.
The rangers encounter Brownbeard, a pirate who seeks the jewel, the eye of the sea. Though a ghost, Rose doesn't trust him.

Shizuka threatens him to hand over the precious.
[RESHOT/REPLACED] The shot was replaced with a fight between Rose and Miratrix.

The Pearl = Boukenger is to what the Jewel = Operation Overdrive.

My God in Heaven, Boukenger's version totally killed OO's. I really hated this episode with a passion. Rose's cuteness couldn't even save the ep.

Well, this sounds interesting.

I wish you could make a comparison video on Youtube, but unfortunately, you can't because they won't allow anyone to post videos and episodes that concern the Super Sentai Series.
