Blue Swat - Talkback

Why don't more subbers take an interest in Metal Hero? Are Wizard and Kyoryuger really more appealing that several people must work on them? I would think that one could garner more attention by doing things the others aren't.

There are positives and negatives to doing older shows. Although doing just those have some fairly negative downsides too if you're the only one on a regular basis, "Why ARENT'T YOU SUBBING XXXXX?!" I see on a daily basis.

Took a break from GoGoV and other stuff to watch some more of this; made the thread, I might as well use it, right? lol (Oh and MaskedManta, You're welcome!).

Just a few thoughts and such:

[hide]Episode 2:

- What was the newspaper article that Sara was reading? I know it was about the base but they aren't criminals, are they? Or, is it about covering up the whole alien thing?
- In the wrong hands, Seiji would be unbearable. It's either a testament to Miyashita's work or the actor that it doesn't happen; (in a weird way, he kinda reminds me of the Kaku narrator ).
- The fight scenes in this show have been consistently awesome, I've yet to be disappointed so far.
- What was the deal with the girl at the end?

Episode 3:

- I definitely got a Shin vibe off the alien that attacked the cop, which is a good thing because that makes him really cool.
- Was Chiaki the other girl's sister or just a friend?[/hide]

[hide]Episode 4:
- The recap music is nice.
- Lol, SWAT has their own army fanclub.
- Oh crap, someone got alien'd
- Oh crap, some sort of super alien just took one out.
- That fight was cool.
- The preview amused me in ways that it shouldn't; "Fight, Blue Swat! Next Stage: "Za Raibaru!".

Episode 5:
- Hey, it's the new secondary Rider *shot*
- Oh man, the whole concept of this episode is so ridiculous yet it somehow works.
- Shou scrambling for a toilet borders on not, though; I'm glad it ended when it did.
- Heck yes, bike scene!
- Hell yes to that bgm that played during the fitness scene; please tell me it's on the soundtrack(s). I'll definitely be willing to just loop it endlessly, if it is.
- So, the athletes were attacked 'cause the Space Mafia wanted more hosts? Makes sense, if so.[/hide]

I like how, even though the show feels very MotW-ish, there's still a serialized narrative going on; I hope it sticks throughout. I'm not entirely certain what I want from the rest of the show though; If I had to guess though, I dunno, the captain and the original base getting retconned back to reality would be pretty dang dumb to do. Thankfully, Miyashita seems actually decent this time around so, I'll put my faith in that he won't pull crap like that.

(Definitely tempted to segue into a rant about him and Hurri but, that's for another time)
