Blizzard Platform possibly used to hack other platforms - such as Google

FYI. My Gmail account was hacked; someone had accessed it HUNDREDS of times in one day with an email from Blizzard made to look that my account settings had changed. I haven't had an account with Blizzard in over 2 years when I canceled it and stopped playing. The account was accessed from Japan and South Korea. I have sent an email to Blizzard informing them that someone is using their name to hack accounts and called my friend who works for them.

I'm fucking pissed as hell about this. And the more people know, the less chance others run into this same ****.

Anyone else run into this? I'd like to know. And if you've had your gmail account hacked before, holla on that too.

Never trust those emails. I get like fifty of them a day. When I got the first one saying my account was altered I went to blizzards website directly and double checked. I never follow links from emails.

Sucks that they got you.

I am willing to bet that the email you got wasn't from blizzard. It was from scammers using blizzards name.

Yeah just remember that if you get an Email from blizzard saying "hey, log in and confirm something or ELSE", then go to worldofwarcraft.com or blizzard.com manually. Do not follow any link from an email no matter how authentic it looks.
