Chris Penn as Jackal/Jagi whatever, Big Van Vader and Rufio were the only ones that stood out to me...lol
I will say though...Steve Wang sort of had the right idea with Guyver Dark Hero...pay homage to the source while being its own story. Then there was City Hunter and Jackie Chan was cosplaying as Chun Li. Speaking of which...a lot of folks proclaimed the HK/Taiwan Dragonball was better than DB Evolution; I've seen both and I'm torn, though the HK version paid more homage to the Toriyama manga.
Guyver was too far ahead for its time, but yeah, Guyver Dark Hero was great.
The film series was fucked up as it is anyways but he did good with it under a low budget. I can only imagine how much better it might have been in today's effects. Mo-Cap could be done with the Guyvers and the Zoanoids with Suit standins for some scenes as the Zoanoids were HUGE, not human sized. I believe Shin Kamen Rdier was a better Guyver than the actual film which ruined it. There was too much comedy in it with the Zoadorks and the costumes to take it remotely seriously where claymation Zoanoids could have pulled it off much better. It felt like i was watching Scary Movie than a serious thriller horror superhero film, But the sequel kind of redeemed it. KIND of.
I hated the direction of being only ONE Guyver and then having a pseudo Guyver monster instead in the second, but as it is , it got me into the anime and manga. Damn it , Viz. I wish Dark Horse would get the manga and give it a better treatment.

Wasn't the Taiwan and Korean films for Dragonball unlicensed? LOL.
It's sad when unauthorized films with almost zero budget can make a better film than the studios. If only they started from the beginning , they would have had a Kung-Fu Star Wars LOTR on their hands. Even though DB Evolution still sucked, it was still consistent with many things and kept the tone of the series by that time.
