Bioman

Forever Knight

Eye See You
I watched the episode where Yellow is killed and this was my first taste of Bioman and I LOVED IT.

The atmosphere was dark, epic, and serious. I don't think I ever saw a ranger take that many blasts like Yellow did, it was one after another after another. Sheesh.

The BioRobo is an excellent looking mecha aswell.

No doubt I'm grabbing this series along with Change, Flash, and Maskman series.

One question, what episode # was this when Yellow died?.

It was ten. And if you think that was good, Bio gets much better with the second Yellow (at least I've always thought that).

"For the Man!" -- Because Dr. Man's awesome, damn it! For anyone who has seen them, those episodes where it's shown how Kageyama transformed himself into Dr. Man used to give me the willies. Especially how he looks at the camera and grins right before the final (painful) procedure.

I think I cried the first time I saw this episode.....well, I was still like 6 at that time.

IIRC, it was episode 10...

さようなら!イエロー!

Bioman is hands down the best sentai in my book.
It was actually the first sentai I've seen and I have very fond memories of it.
I'm currently downloading the english dubs by oddsentai.

Indeed it's my favorite sentai of what I've seen so far. Sure there were some corney eps here or there (Exploding Balloons?), but sentai has always had some corniness to it. What makes the series pretty different is that there is no monster of the week. The Big Three and the Cybernoid Five as they are called in the dub are the ones that are behind most of the plans. The only new bad guys each week are the giant robots which is also a nice change since existing monsters are not blown up to become big. The bad guy has mecha just like anyone else. Other cool stuff was ofcourse how the special effects had mechaclones getting blown to pieces, and how it all had such a cosmic feel to it. I hope Peebo comes back for a Sentai 50th aniversary special or something. She was more than a robot. She was our friend, hehe.

If I can take seeing people being turned into exclamation marks from Hurricanger I can take pretty much anything else.
