Igadevil
Mr. Kamen Rider
My favorites (Riders of course, most of the Sentai are okay, but nothing that really sticks out in my mind, aside from Change Dragon and Vul-Eagle):
Kamen Rider 1 & 2 (the originals, every version)- Yeah, who didn't see that coming. Other Riders look cool, the Double Riders look iconic. I found, even in Japan, there was a certain level of recognition with them that nobody else seems to have (maaaaaaybe V3, but that's about it.) I also like that they're easy for me to draw. Hey, nobody said these couldn't be shallow reasons.
Kamen Rider X- Always gets the shaft, but I dunno, I love this design. Cool color scheme, cool helmet, just cool overall. Once again, I take the maverick route and put him here over V3.
Amazon- I suppose I'm just easily impressed (possibly!), but I still find the whole suit pattern, with the red stripes on green, to be really, really neat.
Skyrider (both versions)- May just be my favorite Kamen Rider costume of them all, a really solid design, and a really great helmet (thanks, X-Rider!)
Gills- They finally found the right balance between Shin and everybody else.
Verde- One of the few in Ryuki that really pulled off the whole motif- he looked like both a monster and a Rider. For a villlain, that's a good thing.
Femme- Makes me wonder why Femme wasn't on the show, and we got stuck with Ouja hanging around eating Kitaoka's spaghetti and the Riders holding a vote on who thought Shinji was an idiot.
Kabuki- The other Oni Rider (aside from Hibiki) that really impressed me. The color scheme, the asymmetrical helmet, it all just comes together.
FIRSTy Rider 1 & 2- See what I mean about being "iconic"? Notice how they really didn't change them all that much. Considering what they could have done, they stuck to the same basic principles, and even left the necks exposed (something that was like, coincidental with the original suits, as they fixed that later on!)
