Being in Love again...and what to do?

Hey listen man,

I've been dating my current ladyfriend since about September, and it's taken until just shy of 2 weeks ago for me to open up and be comfortable with her. By nature I'm pretty cynical and antisocial (you guys probably haven't noticed), and she's the direct opposite, outgoing and friendly and easy to talk to. I didn't think we'd ever be able to get along, but she's been very patient with my loner tendencies and once I finally learned to just accept her, our relationship has really taken off. I realized most of the problems I had had with her were really my fault; I had been too callous and wouldn't let her in.

If you're like me, you're no good at the flowers and candy boyfriend bullshit. You're a real person. You're busy, you get mad, you don't like the same things, sometimes you just don't feel like hanging out. But if you can take those first steps to let your guard down a little, let her in, trust her, you'll be planting the seeds of something much deeper. You shouldn't have to not be yourself, but you have to be able to overlook your selfish habits and be a team. Just talk to her directly about it, be honest with her. Get those tag-team sparks flying a little.

Bolt, have you considered writing like... a Love for Dummies book? Haha

Maybe, but it would have to wait until I'm finished with Masturbation For Pirates and The Complete Idiot's Guide To Being Awesome.

I've done my round and ended it.

I know what I want and it ain't more drama and bullshit. I thank everyone for helping me out here.

I think I'm better off this way.
