Talk about Ronald Moore and David Eick's re-imagining of Battlestar. The greatest science fiction show I have ever seen

Ever find yourself in the middle of a Kirk vs. Picard debate? Let me save you some time, both are wrong. The correct answer is Admiral Adama :buttrock:

lol, I know that will piss off some people. So anyways, who's everyone's favorite character? Mine would have to be a tie between Admiral Adama, Tom Zarek, Gaius Baltar and Caprica Six

The first two seasons are some of the best television, sci fi or otherwise, that i've ever seen. From that point on, the series had it's highs and lows, did alot of meandering, made some questionable plot turns and ended with an acid trip.
And Adama is the pinnacle of badassery.

I agree. The first two seasons were fantastic, three and four were also good but there were some moments that I felt came out of nowhere. Like (SPOILERS) when Gaeta created a mutiny because he didn't like the way Adama was running the ship, and the whole idea of Kara being an Angel sent by God to help the humans after she died seemed to defy the laws of the universe that RDM had created.

Regardless, I loved the show, I have to watch "Razor", "The Plan" and "Caprica" so I still have lots to watch in this amazing show. Plus, Blood and Chrome is coming out soon:castlerock:

I have mixed feelings on Galactica. It did have great action and great characters(Long Live Adama) but on the other hand it is too depressing and the political crap pissed me off. I think if I was the president of the survivors of the human race, I would try to focus more on keep my species alive instead of controlling the government.

The "political crap" was an allegory for the issues we are dealing with today. It was about the importance of democracy. To keep the human race alive you need to make them feel like they are important so they can put their faith in you and so the fleet could keep running. Without a strong political core this show is just another generic boring ass sci-fi show
