Batman Reborn [Batman, Robin, Red Robin, Batwoman, Batgirl...etc] Discussion Thread

Yeah revolving teams of artist. 1st Quitely then Tan followed by Frazer Irving and Quitely back again. It'll make up his slowness that hobbled NXM.

And from the looks of it [hide] Jason is the Red Hood again.

And Spoiler looks to be Batgirl. [/hide]

I read the first issue, and I must say... that was... interesting. I'm looking forward to the next issue next month AND Batman #687 next Wednesday.

I didn't realize batman actually died in Batman R.i.P. i thought he faked his death, guess i was wrong.

Does anyone think this will affect future Batman media and that it'll be dick as batman instead of bruce ???

He isnt dead. He was sent back in time by Darksied's Omega Directive, which dooms anyone afflicted by it's power to live one miserable life after another for the remainder of eternity. He was last seen at the conclusion of Final Crisis living at the dawn of early civilisation, he'll eventually be found living a life in the present day. It's hinted that he becomes Batman, or something similar to Batman, in all of these lives

No. Bruce will be back. Dick's tenure as Batman is the fourth chapter of Morrison's Batman story, which began with "Batman and Son" and continued with "The Black Casebook", and "Batman RIP"...a huge novel crossing time, space, morality and myth.

With the release of Batman #687, the transition from BftC to Batman Reborn makes a lot more sense...

It was weird just seeing everyone jump from one role to the other without any explanation...

Poor Tim, though... He took it really hard. "/ But it seems to me he was using his role as Robin as a crutch, so time off from being Robin and from Gotham seems like the right move for him, imo. Help him man up a bit, and maybe find Bruce in the process (a looooooooong ways down the road)...

And is anyone else digging the alternate cover for #687??

I know I won't be reading any Batman titles for a while. I'm not a fan of these apprentice becomes the master stories. Dick had his own life, and his own identity. Also, "killing off" Bruce is not possible and a lame plot device that has been done to death, if you'll excuse the pun. Everyone knows Batman is immortal....Right?

Meh, I can forgive this story arc though, I don't see any far reaching damage from letting the boy dress up in daddy's clothes for a while.

One More Day on the other hand...well that's a whole different story, that I don't think has to be brought up again...despite the fact that I just brought it up.

Well.... I read 'Batman and Robin' #2 and it was pretty good. Damian was crazy in this and beating the huge fat woman (shudders). In the end of this issue, just wow... can't wait to see the next issue. Issue #3 is more interesting!

Batman #688 was awesome. In the beginning of this issue, I was suspened that it was Two-Face who beat Dick up badly. Ha! I can't wait to see him in Two-Face Batman costume soon! :buttrock:

Detective Comic #854 was interesting. It features Batwoman in this issue. I'm looking forward to see the next issue.

Batman: Streets of Gotham #1 and #2 were both awesome. Now, Tommy Eliott has escaped! Can't wait to see what's the store for them! :buttrock:

I'm beginning to like Damian so far and it seems that he is more nice than before!

And finally, Red Robin #1 and #2, I'm loving it so far and Tim Drake is having a hard time and trying to find out what happened to Bruce Wayne!

I'm looking forward to all new issue coming up soon!
