Batman: Arkham City

Rocksteady said he'd be in the game, and the achievements list has an achievement relating to Nightwing. They haven't said anything about what he'd be doing or what modes of play he'd be playable in.

He's only available in the Challenge mode like Robin

Just a few first impressions after playing for a few hours. I'm liking the package as a whole, but I'm a bit torn on the open world bit. One one hand, it gives me plenty to do outside of following the plot...but it also seems to mean that there's gonna be chunks of the city which are reduced to event-less travel. I know there were spots like that in AA, but here it seems to be more prominent.

Combat's had some improvements, mainly in that it seems like most of Batman's toys will be usable in combat. I always did want to use that explosive gel, but sadly I still can't spray it on a goon, throw him into several others, and then detonate it. Still, it's good to have options. I've already gotten one new toy, though it seems like it's more of a puzzle solver than anything else. Maybe I just haven't gotten used to it yet. I will say that combat's a bit tougher in that you're fighting larger groups more often. Sadly I'm still kinda meh at it, so I end up getting smacked around more than I should.

Catwoman as a playable character...well, she's faster than Batman, but not as tough. Traversing the city as her is a bit more than just hitting the grapple button, but I kinda like it. She's also got a neat little ceiling move that I really wish Batman could use. Oh well. Haven't played as her that much, so there's not a whole lot to say.

As for the plot...well, I'm gonna keep that to myself until everyone else gets a chance to play a bit.

For some reason, my Best Buy Robin Pre-order code wasn't valid, "Not a problem, I'll just get a new one tomorrow," and I did exactly that, except this code isn't valid either. What the hell is going on, is this a problem with my pants on head retarded retailer? And no the codes aren't already used, just invalid. I looked up the difference on Xbox support boards. Is anyone else having trouble with this?

Got the game last night, but unfortunately, I won't be able to give it a good couple of hours of play until tomorrow... :disappoin
