Bank Account Question

I have to get a new bank account, because my last one got deleted for I haven't put any money in it. Though, my dad said I should wait awhile to do it, because of the banks going through this economic crap. The thing is, I really want to open one right away, so I can make a Paypal account for me to used on Ebay. So should I wait or go for it?

Get a credit card perhaps? Hell, even those VISA gift cards you find at gas stations would do the trick!

That depends. Do you want a Paypal account to sell things on Ebay? Or to use it to buy?

If you mean to sell items on Ebay, then I would say go for it. Just start up a small checking account, that's all you really need.

if you just want to get onto Ebay to buy more stuff that you probably don't really need ... then hold off. Save your time and your money for down the road.
