I've gotten used to Ban's hot-headedness, but that doesn't stop it from being annoying at times (especially when they aren't in combat). It's just horrifying overacting. But I guess the kids must love it to death.

Guns are the weapons of choice of cowards. It's easier to pull a trigger than rely on skills that something like a sword requires. So, I think it makes Ban look lousier than he already is.

Although Hirofumi Fukuzawa does do a cool job with those scenes...

Yeah Ban is the man and the one portraying him (Sainei Ryuji) and I both share the same birthday, although not the same year. I love the fireball Ban and he uses the D-Magnum with relative ease. However, Magi Red > Deka Red.

I had known before watching Deka that Ban had a bad rep for being too noisy in general. I was a bit prejudiced at first; he really was a loud guy. But as time went on he grew on me.

He wasn't what made Deka cool, the whole team made Deka cool but Ban definitely made it an enjoyable series to watch IMO.
