The Simpsons is not off the air. It MIGHT be cancelled if the actors won't accept a pay cut, but if that happens Fox will just sell it to other networks and they'll broadcast all the reruns. They'll still be making money off it for decades to come
I am not a Christian, but here's some of the worst of British TV that I would like to see off the air:
- The Only Way is Essex, Made in Chelsea, The X-Factor and all other crappy reality TV shows
- Come Dine With Me. All that time and effort, inviting a bunch of complete strangers into your home and then having to go round to their houses to eat their shitty food, all for a one in six chance of winning a paltry £1000. You've probably spent at least a quarter of that already, just to prepare a three-course restaurant-style dinner for six.
- Waterloo Road
- Skins
- Hollyoaks. They admit they don't care if the cast can act, as long as they are "sexy" (read: permatanned chavs with orange skin and too much bling)
- Young, Dumb and Living Off Mum. In fact, just close down BBC3 entirely.
- Midsomer Murders. It's gone on way too long and is so unrealistic that the audience can no longer suspend disbelief. In one group of six villages the murder rate is at least fifty times the national average, and then the motive turns out to be something ridiculous like "they wouldn't let me join the golf club"
- All of those horribly dull dramas based in the countryside where the storylines revolve around someone's sheep escaping or the village shop running out of toilet paper or something, and that's it, that is ALL that happens
