I think Shamalama is a really odd choice for the material, especially considering he's made nothing but over-pretentious horror movies that bomb hard for the past few years.

Got to say, that finale was everything I expected it to be and a bag of chips. I mean, it aired on the perfect weekend, didn't it? Friday, I saw The Dark Knight and experienced the Goodfellas of superhero movies. Next day, Avatar finale where they resolve (almost) everything. Followed by a Sunday BBQ. That, my friends, is what you call a great weekend.

The one thing I really wished they had touched on more, Zuko's mother aside, is Iroh's Spirit World experience. It was just so... vague. I mean, did he acquire the ability to see spirits just by going or what? Well here's hoping to those rumored three specials next year.
