Another Century's Episode R (PS3)

"The Final" wasn't as final as it looked to be, because we're getting another installment of what's basically the real time action version of Super Robot Wars.

While it's not what I consider a great cast list, Crossbone Gundam should be fun, and I can't wait to punch things clear across the map with Solar Aquarion.

Aw, just about to make this thread after finding out about it on SRW Hotnews. Anyway, it seems like the possible Another Century's Episode game that was going to come is this one! I remember making a thread about it with Namco Bandai's licensing trademark of "ACE"!

At last, the game is revealed! I can’t wait to play all these series, inlcuding the new ones like Crossbone Gundam and Code Geass!

Now the questions are, is the story a sequel to the second and third one (I know the first one was standalone)? I only completed the second one and am in the middle of the third one, although I haven't played it for over a year. I gotta carry on! And what do you guys think “R” means? It reminds me of how some Super Robot Taisen games have letters after them!

Finally, I wonder what the Banpresto originals are gonna be this time? As well as new ones, I want Tak, Marina, Barrel and Fei to return with new mecha! Maybe Tak and Marina can return with new Gunarks that can combine and Barrel and Fei can return with a new ExBlau that can split apart to two units! I know that’s wishful thinking, but I want those characters to return, especially Tak!

I doubt the story will be connected in any way to ACE 2 or 3. The storylines of those two games were completely unconnected.

I am going to wait for reviews before I buy this one. ACE 3 was shockingly inferior to ACE 2, which was a downright awesome game.

and why is Aquarion there? shouldn't ACE be real robots only? (see ACE 3)

Starting with ACE 2 they started including "Super Robots", about one per game, as gag entries. I think ACE 3 featured Shin Getter, didn't it? And God Gundam in ACE 2 (I think) was pretty much just a small Super Robot.

ACE 3 had Shin Getter, yes.

Though I think the Japanese may consider God Gundam a Real Robot, probably due to the fact that he's part of Gundam.

That said, how in the blazes is Aquarion going to work? It has triple forms like Getter Robo, but it's real signature gimmick is that different pilots have different attacks, and Aquarion can change pilots on the fly.

Yeah and badass too. Especially fan of Full Metal Panic. If the Bandai adding Gaogaigar, Tekkaman and Sora wo Kake Girl is almost badass to the max. *Godai thumbs up*

Maybe they'll have it so only certain combinations pilot can be used during certain missions?
