Anime: Persona 4 The Animation

I find "I'll Face Myself" reincarnation on par with "Burn My Dread -Last Battle" worthy. TBH, Burn My Dread -Last Battle- Reincarnation kinda sucked.

So I just watched episode 4

[hide]I like how they explained where Yukiko got the bird image from (ITS SYMBOLIC!), and apparently "returning" personas work the same way as in Pokemon (or at least similar)

also evolving credits, as Narukami unlocks more arcanas, they show more of the fronts of the spinning cards[/hide]

Differences Review 3 - Episode 4

Episode 4 - Somewhere not here
[hide]-Itsu..diforensu taimu!! Sorry, had a little Mamoru Miyano in the head today. If you recall, the three went into the TV World on a weekend, with weekend clothes. And at the end, they were seen back in Junes. In the game, this happens; you beat Shadow Chie and return back because she was too weak to continue. In the manga, they show that they do go back, and Kuma gives Chie her honorary glasses. In the anime, however, they skip that segment, go straight to the dungeon (you can tell by their clothings that they went back on a school day, probably the next day or so), where they reach the dungeon's "midpoint" and encounter Shadow Yukiko.
-In the manga, the first encounter with Shadow Yukiko happens right after the battle.
-The significance about Shadow Yukiko's bird theme is further elaborated on compared to the manga and game. For the latter two, it's just somewhat implied as a metaphor behind her words and feelings.
-lol Stud hunting.
-This is the first time a "boss" used its surroundings as a weapon in the Persona 4 series. In the game and manga, it's been just straight-up battles. The anime thus proves to be more 3-dimensional than the game.
-I've noticed, is it me, or did Chie lose her signature shorts?
-Once again, they break the limits of game battle and elaborate so much more into the character development that the game AND manga never elaborated.
-THE GLASSES ARE BACK!! Kuma's remark about "dexterous fingers" are also in the scene. These are early than before, since they skipped Chie's receiving of the glasses in the beginning of the episode, so they might do it again for Yukiko.

Whenever I listen to the OP, I have to resist the urge to sing it...

Also, about my reviews, the new Personae Yuu will use will be noted simply by the detailed description included in their entry. Any repeated Personae will just have a name and a note of which episode they first appeared in.

As a huge Persona fan, I am digging the **** out of Persona 4 anime. At first I had a bit of doubt, but Narukami turned out to be quite an awesome MC ('I wish I taped it'). I love how they kept the minor details too, such as the calendar.

My only question is, are they gonna go for True Ending for the last episode? I'd hope so, that true end battle was epic.
