Is this the entire run or just the first season that got released by ADV?



It is believed that the circular nature of the various "retellings" is intentional, playing into large Buddhist themes. (There are even some elements and lines in the latest Rebuild of Evangelion that directly support this theory.)

I believe it's the entire run. I haven't watched all of the episodes, but I did download ep 114 to check if it was subbed, and it was. So either the subs are sporadic, or they go that far.

As far as the episodes that were released by ADV, I think those eps on the list are subbed by AznAnime. None of them are English DVD rips, as far as I've seen.

The Record of Lodoss War OAV still holds up quite freakin' well.

Since someone mentioned the Yuusha series (Might Gaine is my personal fave), Might as well say the Eldran series since it's a sibling series to the Yuusha series, both animated by Sunrise and toys made by TakaraTomy.

Raijin Oh (My first Eldran seen as a kid), Ganbaruger and GoSaurer are epic Eldran shows that you should check out. fortunately, you can start with Raijin-Oh since it's now available in the US via Anime Midstream. (here's hoping AM also licenses Ganbaruger and GoSaurer, I heard their dub for Raijin-Oh was at par with Funimation's dubs.)

Saint Seiya is easily one of the best anime from the 80s, its a worldwide phenomenon (except in the US) before DBZ ever was. I'll go as far to say that SS has the best music ever, better than any other show and movies.

Captain Tsubasa I've been watching this and its such a great show, I don't care about soccer or sports yet it hooked me, this is actually very fun to watch. Its very light hearted but thats what makes it so entertaining.

Is there any place to get some sample downloads of Ganbaruger? I've been itching to see that show since its appearance in SRW Neo.

Annnnd to contribute to the topic, Xabungle is one of my favorite older mecha anime, it's got a pretty unique concept that's worth a watch.

I know, it makes me so sad. The fact that it has one of those titles no one can agree on the romanization for doesn't help.

Still, one episode should be enough to see if it's worth scrounging for more of. Thanks!

The original Bubblegum Crisis, of course. But stay away from the sequel, Bubblegum Crash. Ugh.

I put up all of Fighbird here a while back.

I have to ask: Is the original BGC better than Tokyo 2040? That show was cool it's ending? WHY?!
