Angel Wars-Flying Justice!

Well it should come to no surprise to anyone here that I'm a Christian
And being a Christian in such a fandom is not uncommon, I know theres pleanty of folk here who believe the same or would like to.

Theres this belief in both Christians and none christians that to be about one's faith you have to be boring, or to make something epic has to be preachy.

This is Angel Wars, showing that the sense of Great Justice still flows through the hearts of men across the board. Even if you're not a christian this was made for folks who like armor clad warriors opening major can of whoop on the masses of evil hordes.

I liked this so much I just HAD to show the henshin loving crowd, but eh I can't show this on Rangerboard "No Relgious, anything!"

Besides HJ is the best Henshin board on the net.

So heres my gift to you guys, enjoy it.

Were I still Christian this would've been the coolest thing I ever saw Christians do in order to make Christianity cool.

Alas, my time as one has gone and past long ago. Stuff like this usually creeps us simple folk out.

Still, action, music, world and character design it looks pretty awesome. Score one for those who're actually Christian and want something of their own that's awesome.

Can't say I'll be checking it out, but if they'd busted this out back in Sunday school, I would've had a good reason to actually show up. ;)

It's good to see all that effort isn't totally lost on folks. I don't have to be Buddist to enjoy Dragonball but I do. Barring my beliefs the city skyline and the character animation reminded me of Curse of Monkey Island.

I'm glad you liked the designs, I sense these people know a thing or two about the laws of henshin and a good time.

I think what'd turn off a lot of folk is the Christian message. There will always be this distrustful raised eyebrow while watching it, waiting for them to try and slip me something subliminally into making me feel guilty about something.

I'm not against Christianity and I believe there's a good amount of love, community and wisdom to be found in it, but most folk (and yeah... that includes me...) just don't want to be preached to and are distrustful of those that would. I know that'd be tickling the corner of my mind the whole time I tried to watch it.

Again tho... that looks pretty badass. Wish they'd had something like this out when I was a Christian, cuz the most we had in my day was day dreams of watching David whupass on Goliath, anime style.

See, while I see your point, I have to wonder about people who say that. The fact that you might feel guilty by watching something with Christian themes is indicative of the mindset of the viewer, not necessarily the actual thing. I'm sad and of course frustrated at the fact that most often Christians and their ways do seem to come off as "preaching Hell, Fire-and-Brimstone" or "making others feel as guilty as hell or whatever" but I think at the same time, it's not fair to automatically brand or assume such about anything with the label of "Christianity or Christian themes." Like NJack had mentioned, "You don't have to be Buddhist to enjoy DBZ", I think the same holds for this (I haven't seen this series, I heard of it, but I'm just going by other "Christian" Propogandistic stuff I've seen). I think the producers did a bit of shooting their own foot though by labeling this "Angel Wars." There are MANY things which don't have such labels, which I think turn people off automatically because they presume it to be like the stereotype. Any christian or non-christian watching Agito would have to either be a MAJORLY fledgling or simply not aware to see "Christianity-based" themes and ideas in that series. That goes for a lot of other mainstream toku that's out now too.

Yeah, I know what makes you say that - sadly there has been many things of Christianity that seem to forget the virtues of love, community, compassion, mercy, and often aren't aware or considerate of their methods in light of their aims and goals. There have been many who have unforutunately been turned off of Christianity because of such mishandling and as I see it, misrepresentation.

Again tho... that looks pretty badass. Wish they'd had something like this out when I was a Christian, cuz the most we had in my day was day dreams of watching David whupass on Goliath, anime style.

I must admit though, the lover of Henshininning (is that a word? It will be...) and such does see some practical appeal in this. :P

Theres also the fact that you don't have to be believer in the Greek gods to enjoy a good Greek epic.

You know, and this is me speaking directly from my heart here.
It makes me feel sad and ashamed that some people would twist Christ's message for their own selfish aspirations. I just want you guys to know, that when you hear anything from me relating to Jesus and things of this nature I have no intention but to be honest about it.

I follow Jesus because he loved before I loved hiim, and that I should treat others with the same diginity and respect as I would treat myself. :)

Yeah, it really is high class. This wouldn'y be the first time there were outward Christian themes in an action cartoon. Myotismon was the AntiChrist with his 666. And not to mention all the countless Angel themed anime series.
