An idea based on Decade...

So, after finishing Decade, I got to thinking...
The alternate worlds that Decade traveled to. What if those premises and those actors were what we got for a TV show instead of the Original TV we all saw first? Would you like it better than the original or hate it? Share your thoughts! I'll begin...

Kuuga's World - No. Just plain no. Period. I'm sorry, but Yusuke is just too annoying. I prefer Godai, as I'd like to think we all do. Plus, in the first two episodes we saw him in, I thought he looked more frumpy than cute and young. I still kind of do.

Agito's World - I'm kind of divided on this one. When I first saw it, I thought it was cheap that there was only one guy and he evolved from Gills to Agito. However, the one thing I didn't like about the Agito show was the constant battles over misconceptions or lack of characters actually talking to each other. It's either "I blame you for this! Let's fight!" or "I've gone crazy for some reason! Let's fight!" I can't say which I like better...

Ryuki's World - Even though I had no patience for the drama in Ryuki and I thought a lot of the fight scenes were anti-climactic, I think I prefer it over what I saw in Decade. Fighting to determine the outcome of a trial? Sorry, no thank you. Too ridiculous.

Faiz's World - I'm not too wild about it, I think I prefer the original Faiz show, but I might like this version too. I thought a lot of the same, familiar elements were there. It would be interesting to see how other characters, including Kaixa, Delta, and Smart Lady are presented.

Blade's World - I don't mind seeing Riders that work for an organization, but using how well they do in battle to determine how far up they are on the corporate ladder? Again, too ridiculous. And once more, I didn't quite care for some of the actors here. Kendate Kazuma doesn't even hold a candle to Kenzaki Kazuma.

Hibiki's World - I kind of like it, actually. I think this would have been a great premise for the original show! With rival schools, we could see more of the many other Riders/Oni that got very little mention or screen time and give them characters, and Hibiki could be the one that unites them all under the same cause of defending Japan from the Makamou and what not. The only difference I would make is replace the two lead actors with the Hibiki and Asumu we remember from the original!

Kabuto's World - I liked this! I think I actually liked this better than original Kabuto, and I'm probably one of the few who actually liked original Kabuto. Still, I think this show could have very well been better than the original. Souji looks a little bit more handsome and he seems more heroic than Tendou. But stuck in Clock Up? Come on, that's gotta be something that gets fixed pretty quickly. It can be a lead in to Hyper Mode, but don't make it the focus.

Den-O's World - What was Alternate about this version again? I think the interior of the Den-Liner was different... Still, I stopped caring about Den-O, so I doubt I would care much one way or the other.

Kiva - Once again, I gotta go with the original version on this... It was fun the first one or two times in toku history, but it's an insult to our imaginations to see a kid transforming into an adult-sized Rider. Not to mention, it just doesn't feel like this interpretation would be able to handle all the classic characters in a good way. It feels like they are trying to flush out all the characters way too fast without taking time to make it work.

So, that's about it. I didn't go in the order the show introduced the worlds, but I don't think anyone cares. Share you comments on each world and their premise, and if you feel like commenting on other worlds, feel free to do so. For example, I didn't mind the premise of Amazon's world, but Amazon's actor just could NOT emote his lines for crap...

I admit that some of the AU worlds were improvements over the original ones.

Agito's - Exceed Gills evolving into Agito. Something that should been used, since a Gills is a deformed Agito.

Ryuki's - The Riders fighting each other for a fate of a person instead of a wish.

Hibiki's - Asumu becoming an oni, what was originally planned before it was changed.

Kabuto's - Kabuto being modest instead of arrogant.

Diend's - Lance & Larc not being jerks.
