I liked it, and I don't even like anime that much. It's basically about these 5 guys (like a sentai team), Ryo of Wildfire, Sage of Halo, Sai of Torrent, Kento of Rock, and Rowen of Strata. They each have unique characteristics, weapons, colors and abilities, and basically the story is about them taking on the evil Lord Talpa (who's a badass) and his "Dynasty," along with awesome villains like Anubis and Cale. You'd like the story; it's pretty dark. Lots of talk of destruction and the whole show has a bleak tone to it. The fight scenes are also pretty cool. The only thing that could've made it cooler is facemasks.

Ronin Warriors?!? Is it that show where the people henshin into samurai armor? I think i remember watching that on UPN! that was a great show i wish i could watch it again.

The whole series is on DVD now.

The Ronin Warriors have all the elements of a sentai team when you take a close look at it. Except for the mecha, of course.

Ronin Warriors was a mastarpiece of work. But it wasn`t the first last or end of the Anime Tokusatsu or rather Henshin dynamic. Anime and Tokusatsu are not similar but they are brothers in the exploits of herodom. Ishirimori-san honed his craft with Go Nagai(Cutie Honey,Great Mazinger) and Osamu Tezuka of Astroboy fame. More so Go and Shitaro were Osamu`s trainees at the time.

Go went on to create great anime series while his fellow hero enthusiest Shitaro went on to create 009, Kamen Rider and of course sentai. The influenceo this Justice Trinity is still felt today. Pick up a copy of G-Gundam,Tekknoman and the upcoming Gatchman re-release. Even Sailor Moon shares influences from the Toku genre. But Ronin Warriors{originally Samurai Troopers} ranks up to the top as the VERY best and remains a cult classic among many otakus and toku heads alike.

Theres two OAV`s of the series that came out a two years ago, I suggest you get into it.

...those are the shows remotely close to toku...IMHO...I'm curious about others...
