A personal message from Bruce Kalish

Skyknight, you're a character and you're gonna spin right off the face of this planet. :D

Yeah, I like Bruce Kalish and he's been a good guy to me. I like the feel of SPD, but the good majority of BK fans have hardly ever been yes men. Do you even read our talkbacks? A good majority of it is pointing out the show's shortcomings and drawbacks.

Just because I like the feel he brought back doesn't mean he's done a perfect job and we've all voiced that. He's a grown man and can take it.

And while Doug may have brought back the original feel..... I hated that original feel even back then. What I liked was what PR matured into with Space through WF. I didn't like the digression to bumbling bad guys and Might Moronic Insulting Stereotype Rangers.

I felt he did better with PRDT, but still.... just didn't feel there was a world created there that I could enjoy. Story was too all over the place.

Bruce... I like the world he created, great characters, great beginning plot and set up. Cool ideas, then it all flew apart and was only touched upon ever few episodes, to be tied up in three episodes at the end.

SPD was far from perfect, but it brought back the feel of the seasons I liked with heroes that were their on character and not some teen stereotype and bad guys who were all about evil and kicking ass and not how much they could bumble and run into each other.

He's read what we want tho, and I've faith. I'm definately looking forward to what he does with Mystic Force, but I don't think any of us here are going to bow down and not say anything if it doesn't meet to what we want. Still, I appreciate that he cares about what we want and will once again give it his all to create a new world for us all to dig on.

No offence to the females but it's sad when a woman is more of a man than the actual men. Poor Sloan & Kalish.

I have read the talkbacks I just see more positive sweetalking disguising the cons once there covered, given how much criticisms this season gets, and then to suddenly hear "Bruce is da man even if he screwed this up, or that up"...it does baffles me to a degree. He can't be a saint when hes' clearly sinning and every episode or most of them displays that, I can understand saying things in a manner that makes you look cival is probably the best thing you can do to maintain communication with a big time player, but just for arguments' sake, Rene flamed the hell out of Doug on RB and he put up with it, and pushed straight back. He had the balls for it, So yeah, experiance with something a producer does differently creates a differing perspective. If I said to Bruces' face "I really dont' like your work", you're right, he'd take it, but would he diss it back and call me out on a flaw he made like Sloan did with Rene? We'll never know, hes' never taken the chances Doug has with the fandom.

I'm just not a fan who is bothered that much if the show becomes a glorified Barney, it did'nt start out like 24, and it was immesnly successful and made fans out of its' long term fanbase regardless of that, besides, even in its' first few years, the series had a degree of seriousness and arcs (Green Ranger saga anyone? How about the third season where the "bumbling villains" WON) so yeah, I dont' bother much with MMPR detractors, because they either seldom dont' acknowledge the strengths of those seasons, or dont' know what there talking about. I'm not saying you're ignorant of those strengths, just the format that they were represented by, but others have gotten under my skin for not giving credit where it was clearly due with the earlier seasons.

There is'nt a lot of love for NS, both SPD haters and lovers have expressed dislike over it, few hav'nt, DTs' flaws were due to Disney cutting off romantic subplots, or Trent remaining evil for MUCH longer (which is what made the "evil White Ranger clone" arc neccersary) not to mention the sheer implausibility of keeping JDF on board for a full season caught up to him, did they go over those shortcomings with good storylines and situations? Depends, but I consider Dinothunder, objectivily, the greatest season of PR you could possibly have, as a throwback to the roots, as an expansion of Tommys' character, and a season that rose above faults that were clearly NONE of the producers', but the very company they work for, compare that to SPD, where every bad decision were ones made BY the production team

At this moment, V.R are taking baby steps towards the PR that you want, but that does'nt mean they have failed in providing other fans with what THEY want, I'm all for serious PR again if thats' what Disney wants to return to, and if they think they have enough confidence to pull it off, but not if its' handled absolutley wrong like SPD was

That's how I always prefer Space through WF of being matured. I loved it.

I liked Bruce Kalish's work alot better than Doug Sloan. I just don't like Doug Sloan's work with NS because it was too much comedy. The humor sucked so badly and I got sick and tired of those. The goofy villains made me sick to my stomach.

I liked the beginning of Dino Thunder until I stopped like the last half way up to 38 episodes. It becames into joke and crappy.

I missed ol' Doug Sloan from 1993 up to 1997, even since he got fired in 1997. When he returned for NS and DT, I don't like the NEW Doug Sloan. Ugh.

LMAO. Funniest thing I ever read.

Well, Sloan ain't the man either I can tell ya' that. I believe when it comes to the PR World that title belongs to Judd Lynn, Jackie Marchand , and Jonathan Tzachor.

Right fucking on.

I only give him credit where it's due and sometimes it is quite due. Other fans... just let 'em be. If they wanna dig on whatever, who cares?

He's an adult and a human being. Flames and trashing don't really register much with anyone, so if there's something I feel need be critiqued, I and others feel the mature route is to do it in a respectable manner.

Because doing that is a complete waste of time. Look, if people want to hate on him, they're going to do it no matter what he says. So, when he could be either spending time with his family or working on making the best show for us possible why would he argue with someone he doesn't know? Especially when there are fans that would probably disagree for him in his place and argue his position? If Doug has the time and want to battle with a poster, that's Doug.... personally, I wouldn't have time for it and barely do on anything as verbal battles seem to go no where 95% of the time.

I'm just not a fan who is bothered that much if the show becomes a glorified Barney, it did'nt start out like 24, and it was immesnly successful and made fans out of its' long term fanbase regardless of that,

And I'm all for people just enjoying what they do. If there weren't fans that enjoyed **** that I detest, maybe the show would've gotten cancelled before we got the chance to have our Lost Galaxies or Time Forces. If fans weren't digging on it, then we don't get that next chance the following year that I might like the show again. So, like what you do. I like when fans enjoy the show, but me... I've never been a fan or retarded bad guys or good guys. I've always had a problem with that ever since fwickin' Inspector Gadget or TMNT when the bad guys end up being nothing butt inept morons.

besides, even in its' first few years, the series had a degree of seriousness and arcs (Green Ranger saga anyone? Even the worse seasons I've seen have had their strengths. Those neither go unoticed or ignored by me. I just like it when the whole package is full of things I like... like Time Force.

Not so. Disney pitched several things that screwed with the show. Bruce mentioned it and fought against it, but in the end it's the money men who make the calls. Like it wasn't up to him to do a bunch of stand alone episodes... that was Disney's call and that resulted in us having a great premiere and premisses, but ended up with it all not being address until the last three episodes. I also believe the actorless Omega was also not his idea.

Time will tell. :)

There are people who don't particularly care for the season but loved the cast. I've said this to you for like the 90283493840234th time. You and that thick homo head of yours

Long term fans like me care for one thing.

Flames and trashing don't really register much with anyone, so if there's something I feel need be critiqued, I and others feel the mature route is to do it in a respectable manner.

So Doug gets labled "Soug Dloan" and as someone who makes certain people feel "sick to their stomachs?", ahahh...yeah, classic examples of mature criticisms there, whilst "Bruce Kantwrite" getting slammed in a polite way and Sloan getting bashed in the exact opposite fashion does not make logical sense if a good sense of sportsmanship is being maintained as a standard. Not to name names, but I think favouratism is afoul....

Because doing that is a complete waste of time. Look, if people want to hate on him, they're going to do it no matter what he says. Doug went back and fourth with Rene a grand total of three times, he got his point across as minimully, but as effectivly, as possible, I think one producer could fit that into his schedule.

And those "fans", as in assholes like Hazo, are'nt the best examples, the SPD elitisits are either

1. Biased towards him

2. Disguising the faults and expanding the positives to ridiculous levels that they never once reached in the episode

3. Flame the critics, or in RBs' ever persistent case, ban those critics for two days just for the crime of hating SPD and exchanging heated conversation with the antagonists who have flamed them FIRST.

The pro SPD fanbase in certain areas is akin to a Nazi garden party, I dont' want to hear their side of things, because theres' either no credibility or maturity to find from them and I've seen and heard too much of those who fortify Berlin, I want to hear it from the horses' mouth, with a slight touch of professionalism if he wants to be that restrained. Doug did it. Its' not a sign of not having time, its' a sign of simply not wanting to do it when he could have balanced his priorities.

I've never been a fan or retarded bad guys or good guys. I've always had a problem with that ever since fwickin' Inspector Gadget or TMNT when the bad guys end up being nothing butt inept morons.

Dude...Gadget was a situation comedy and the original TMNT was an action/adventure comedy, neither were dark science fiction series, the latter of which was a completly different animal from its' original comic incarnation, not the healthiest examples for one thing.
