I lost faith in this movie as soon as I saw what the Oozaru would look like.
For some reason though, a tiny, minute shimmer of hope still is in me saying that it'll atleast be a fun movie, it'll make just enough money to get a sequel, and that the sequel will be tons better.
Then again, I also thought the same thing with Transformers and that didn't go too well for me. I'm one of the people who couldn't tell the one shiny 90% silver colored thing from the other shiny 90% silver colored thing, especially when they got close. Blu Ray viewings helped things, but not by much.
It has nothing to do with your enjoyment. I Hope you do love the movie and have a good time watching it. Just don't think the creator is above lying to get paid.
Also, if anyone remembers the interviews they had with Toriyoma (sp, I am having a bad brain moment right now) he wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about the project earlier on. It was only after he announced the new Dragonball Z cartoon special he was putting out that he got behind the project fully, at least in print interviews.
The only official photo of Oozaru is just an eyeball from the 2nd International trailer. That lizard thing was not the real deal, just an unfinished test model.

You get any benefits when I believe in things you disagree with? It's a huge world out there, full of opinions and beliefs. I may find it ridiculous sometimes but either way, you believe what you want to believe, and let me do the same. Naive me? If that's the case then fine, I'm naive. Arguing about how you disagree with what I believe is pointless...

It'll flop (not as bad as Legend of Chun Li or other horrible films) but not that bad I think, mainly because of the International market. I see Evolution doing very well in the orient, the **** is marketed to hell over there. The Japan audience is going to watch it because 1. Its DRAGONBALL 2. its colorful. Hell its release date was bumped up over there to match Watchmen, I see it beating Watchmen over in the Japan box office.
Heres the PSP screen (its not shopped, the game has already been shown off at Comicon and all that someone just grabbed a screen) I'm just saying that because it was the first thing I thought of.
I'm working on finding the toy pic right now, once I do I'll either edit this or post again.
**EDIT** Here we go, this is the Oozaru toy, its clear because its one of those "you get a piece with each other toy and they all make the special edition toy" type things. So, I'm guessing making the thing all blue is considered cool. What really intrigues me is that the thing is wearing Saiyan armor. That was a surprise.
Notice that they toy looks a lot closer to the prototype face that was put up, while the video game has a different look. I'm sure that all three will come together in the end to being somewhere in between, but its interesting that even two official pieces of merchandise have different looks.
Well it could have been worst, its much better than the lizard thing. Can't really form an opinion until I've seen how it will look in the movie (not just game artwork or a toy).
