Why "Change Power" and not "Aura Mask" is what I'd like to know.

Maybe X1 Mask didnt' change through Aura Power... maybe he used some alternate power source to change, the thing is... what other source could he use to keep with the martial arts theme?

I think because it was a prototype, and its way to far from the other Maskman, So it use another source of power. Maybe when the prototype was done they haven't finish the aura power theory. Just an Opinion.

Do I miss someone in here? Who's your favorite character? I like Dragon Ranger, Time Fire, Abare Killer. But my favorite desaign costum was Abare Killer, Deka Break, Mega Silver, and Dragon Ranger.

Couldn't you technically count Hyuuga/Bull Black as a 6th aswell?.

I know Power Rangers confirmed he was a 6th Rangers during one of the 6th Ranger Marathons Disney did a few years ago to introduce Green Samurai Ranger.

There was also White Racer from Carranger which was more of a parody though.

That was Disney's opinion. However, his status as a Ranger is disputed by many. I personally don't consider him a Ranger. Although he had a changer, he didn't look remotely similar to the other Rangers' motif, nor did he have the power of a specific element like the other Galaxy Rangers (unless you wanna count Earth as his element). The rangers gundam-boy listed all look similar to the team's motif. So he's seen more as a 6th hero rather than 6th ranger.

hmm... you make a point there sir. So I guess he's a ranger. A Senshi, maybe not. How about Signalman & VRV Master?!

Abarekiller, while he operated outside the team for the most part, was only a fifth ranger (I don't count AbareMax, since it was just a powerup). Between that and the zillion extra Dekas, it's more like "extra rangers" than "sixth rangers," strictly speaking.

I generally don't count characters such as Ninjaman, Signalman, VRV Master, and Bullblack as rangers, but that's just me.

...and is it just me, or do the coolest extra rangers always die? I was actually kind of disappointed that they *didn't* kill off Doggie at the end of Deka. An Afterlife Sentai Deadranger composed of DragonRanger, TimeFire, Shurikenger, AbareKiller, DekaMaster, and Yellow Four with Kiranger as their mentor would totally rule. :anime: :buttrock: I mean, it works without Dekamaster, but it's so much cooler *with* him.

But if you think like that, you really can't count Magi Shine.

I think Black Knight Hyuga counts as a sixth -- not Bullblack himself, but Hyuga. He introduced himself and posed with the team! What else do you need to make yourself legitimate in a tokusatsu? Signalman and those guys didn't do that, so that's why I think he's more a sixth than those others. More points for that Hyuga was actually supposed to be a Gingaman...

Gingaman, as a whole, tried to be different from what sentai had been like at the time, so with Black Knight's design, they were just trying to be different.

I count the crazy characters nobody counts for the hell of it. Yui Ibuki, X1 Mask, White Racer, Beast Demon Hunter Jiku. Hell, even Abare Pink! If you can count completely useless members like Deka Gold (transformed for all of .03 seconds) as additional heroes, then why not Black Knight or Abare Pink? :laugh:
