Yes, because there is no one bad show between Jetman to Timeranger, which was the 90s.
Megaranger exists and it was the second worst entry in the entire franchise after Gokaiger, this statement is inaccurate. And shouldn't it be Fiveman through GoGo-V? Timeranger was not a 90s series.
Ryusoulger is the worst Sentai series ever.
Fourth worst after the other two and Hurricanger, I'll agree with you it had a lot of issues. That said....
The villains had no development and were barely characters.
That was Lupinranger vs. Patoranger. The main duo were the best part of Rysoulger.
Outside of Trigger, Ultraman has been fine. Z was a solid entry for the most part while Blazar was freaking awesome. Best show since Orb. Arc is finally picking up steam too.
Eh, you like Blazar and Arc more than me, that's fine.
Meanwhile, Kamen Rider is failng. Kamen Rider hasn't had a truly exceptional series that broke the mold since Gaim.
Good? Gaim was a subpar series overall and would have been way worse if they continued on before the Kikaider Reboot promo episode didn't course correct them. It was way too serious, needed monsters of the week, and had slow pacing. Still better than Ex-Aid or Build, but that's like saying Alien: Covenant is the only bad AVP movie, it's kind of obvious (and yes I did see Romulus, Ridley Scott really wanted to remake Alien: Resurrection).
They really need to go back to the more serious tone and drama of the 2000s.
No, the ones that weren't Kiva were boring as hell for large chunks of their run time and went absolutely nowhere for very large chunks. Stuff like Ryuki and Blade promised an exact amount of riders and monsters to be shown and failed. It's part of the reason I have zero trouble calling Drive the best rider entry, it set a damn goal of showing 108 monsters and stuck to it. Gotchard was able to do this as well with 101 chemies. Hibiki easily destroyed itself by not showing the entirety of its final battle. Faiz tried too hard to be sad and it failed so hard thanks to future crossovers and a much better movie. Den-O went mega serious and confusing in the last nine episodes for no reason. Kuuga and Agito were fine, but compared to some of the showa era stuff they kind of just existed. And Kabuto.... Just ugh.
Den-O wasn't perfect, but everything from Kuuga through Kiva was fantastic.
If Build didn't exist Kabuto would easily be the worst main ent- Actually no that'd be Amazons season 2. Point is Kabuto existing debunks this claim REALLY hard.
Kamen Rider also needs to drop the evil rider bullshit and go back to having actual villains be the main threat.
This did happen in Gotchard until the last two episodes, your wish is mostly there. I'll toss you an olive branch because I am in the camp of Toei does too many riders in general and should just go back to main and secondary ones again like in Faiz, Kiva, and Decade for a while.
They sidelined the Jyamato and Deadmans for evil Kamen Riders.
Revice I agree with this on some level, but Geats? This sounds a bit exaggerated.
