The trademark bot awakes! The trademark bot rewards the faithful with it's glorious bounty!

Coming (probably) this autumn, Kamen Rider Gotchard. The name itself doesn't give us much to go on until we get more details in another month or so.

Someone posted a clue list for what the show will be about that read "Mewtwo, Generator, Glyphs, Golem." Kind of making me think the guy has Kamen Rider robots which he controls via a mind link thing instead of actually being the Kamen Rider himself. It'd be different, at least.

Some others speculate it could mean "Gotcha + card" & there will be a card gimmick as an homage to Blade, while others are thinking it'll be some kind of mini-figurines.

We've got alleged pics of some cards which will be used to access tech- Madwheel, Hopper1, Steamliner & the incredibly not confusing whatsoever Pilets. Also, the bottom ones are apparently a shot of Gotchard himself, followed by his driver.

Aww man, the bike's already dead.
And it didn't even get it's one obligatory episode.

More information about Gotchard has come out. First up, the official press conference is happening on August 9th and then the show itself begins airing on Sunday September 3rd.

We've also had some information about who is working on the show:

First up, the lead producer is Takehiro Okawa, who interestingly is currently in that role on KingOhger. It is unknown if that means he's leaving KingOhger or working on both.

The other two producers are Keisuke Shibataka and Yosuke Minato, who I think are both new to toku.

Unusually, the show has two head writers. The first is Keiichi Hasegawa, who was the head writer of Ultraman Dyna, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Ginga, and the anime version of Gridman and it's sequel Dynazenon. As far as Rider goes, he was a secondary writer on W, Drive, Ghost and Saber (and is generally considered to have become the de facto head writer of Saber during it's run as it's actual head writer seemed to write less and less as the show went along).

The other head writer is Hiroki Uchida, a much younger writer who has never been a head writer before but worked as a secondary writer on Ultraman X, Ultraman Orb, Kamen Rider Saber, and Ultraman Revice (mostly writing specials like Girls Remix for this last show).

The series' head director is the veteran Ryuta Tasaki, who started as an assistant director all the way back on Kamen Rider Black, and has been a head writer on Gingaman, PR Lightspeed Rescue, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Den-O, Kiva, Decade, W, OOO, Akibaranger, Gaim, Drive, Build, Zi-O, and Donbrothers.

The music for the show will be composed by Hiroshi Takaki, who wrote the music for Shinkenger and Lupinranger Vs Patranger.

The plot will revolve around artificial lifeforms called "Chemi" that were created through alchemy. Chemi have the ability to resonate with human hearts, and when combined with a person's malice can become kaijin called Margam. There are 101 of them that were stored within Rider Chemi Cards. When the Chemi are accidentally released, a high school student called Hotaro Ichinose is given the Gotchard Driver and tasked with recapturing them.

Episode 19 was apparently written by Akiko Inoue. She previously wrote a Decade spinoff novel under a pseudonym but (after a few years writing for anime shows like One Piece) this is the first TV episode in the franchise that she has worked on. She is expected to be one of the show's regular writers from now on.

This is mostly worthy of mention because Akiko is the third generation of her family to work on the Kamen Rider franchise, as her father is the infamous Toshiki Inoue, and her grandfather was (original series head writer) Masaru Igami.

It also appears to be the first time since Drive that a female writer has contributed to a "mainline" Sunday morning Rider show (i.e. outside of Kobayashi writing Amazons).
