2012/2013 Kamen Rider - Kamen Rider Wizard... CONFIRMED.

I'm surprised that the copyright for the new Kamen Rider isn't out yet. What's taking Toei so long to secure the name?

The only ideas anyone on this thread has been able to come up with are:

- Fourze being "extended" like Gokaiger (Gokaiger only got 2-3 episodes more than a typical Sentai so I wouldn't expect more than that for Fourze)

- Trouble getting the name they wanted. "Wizard" is so common for titles that it's possible Toei's first choice was turned down and they had to pick a different spelling

- They just want to start registering trademarks later than usual, that's why it's around a month late, as were the Go-Busters and Smile PreCure trademarks.

Tomorrow is Thursday, it's possible we'll get something ...

IPDL doesn't update until 9 AM today. JPO, a different database, has already updated, but JPO is confusing as hell. I'll try and figure it out and double check.

I'm not sure if this is real, but it's trademarks for Wizard. If I can't figure it out, I'll wait a few hours and check with IPDL to confirm if this is real.

Confirmed. IPDL updated, 2012-42681 is indeed Kamen Rider Wizard.

The pun depends on the pronounciation.

Though using Google Translate (Not very helpful) it translates "Wizard" to ウィザード (U~izādo) the same the Rider is trademarked at and personally it does sound of like Buizado

The pronunciation is normal too. Japanese is phonetic after all. If anything, they can still change the English spelling into something stylized - like "DCD" for Decade and OOO for "Ozu".
