The Knicks are reportedly willing to trade Danilo Gallinari as the centerpiece of a package to acquire Carmelo Anthony.

During his Tuesday show on ESPN Radio in New York, Michael Kay cited sources in reporting that the Knicks will offer Gallinari, a future first-round pick and Eddy Curry in a bid to acquire Carmelo Anthony from Denver.

Curry's contract would be included to make the trade work under the salary cap.

The next first-round pick the Knicks can trade is their 2014 selection.

I believe if my memory is correct, 2-2. I know they lost two games in a row during the end of the season when the Clown sat out for rest before the Playoffs started. And he sat our 2 other games earlier in the season do to an ankle injury.

Keep in mind, Shaq and the narcissistic, self proclaimed Big "Z" played when he sat out.

Carmelo Anthony's wish list could consist of a single destination.

"Melo wants it all," said his friend, indicating that Anthony's desire is to play for the Knicks.

Like many clubs, the Mavericks would naturally have interest in acquiring Anthony but the team reportedly believes that New York is where Anthony intends to wind up.

Without Anthony agreeing to sign an extension with the team to which the Nuggets would trade him -- a rare 'extend-and-trade' scenario -- Denver could have a hard time receiving quality offers in return.

"Carmelo wants the legacy. The fastest way for him to become a transcendent player is to get away from the Lakers (and the Western Conference), lead the Knicks to success, get that endorsement money, and be close to home (on the East Coast)," said a source. "He’s as concerned about his ‘image’ and his ‘profile’ as any player in the NBA. If he can pull this off, he’s right there with LeBron and Kobe."
