2009: Good or Bad?

Absolutely horrible. Many celeb deaths, my loved laptop died, my first PS3 malfunctioned, and my parents about divorced(they made up since). 09 sucked for me. Didn't get anything for Xmas which was the breaking point for me.

'09 was okay the first half, but then the 2nd half screwed me over so badly.

worst for me in 2009. many people were died, financial crisis, terrible heat and hard to find new friends too.

2009 sucks. Terrible floods, earthquakes, and tsunami. My pet puppy died in disease.

Education was horrible with crazy people around me. I have many boring days and lost connection with a lot people. The weather was bizare and airplane crash one after another. This is 2009 fault!

my girlfriend and I broke up at the start of 2009, and 2009 didn't really get better after that. Can I walk away from anything positive from 2009? no. lets hope 2010 is better

Honestly, it really depends on the subject. Like what Keith said, it was the best year for Tokusatsu being that it had so many great shows in that genre both in Japan and the US (Dragon Knight. Decade, Shinkenger, Rescue Fire, RPM, and W/Double). It's also the worst year in deaths because a lot of famous celebrities died just like last year.

I also think 2009 was a great year for the Wii because it released a lot of great games.

But yeah, I really can't judge the year overall. It really depends on what aspect.

Only real downsides to 2009 for me were the spring semester of school and the stupid drama 2 of my friends brought about during Otakon. Still, I can look back on the year overall and still have a smile on my face, so I feel pretty good about it.

I'm late as heck but if MJ died in 2009 then that has got to be a BAD year.
