2008- Enigine Sentai Go-onger- Pre Discussion Thread

Retro. LOL. My only word.

I joke. My impressions so far of the show. OK at first I jumped on the bandwagon and thought EURGH! the mecha has eyes! EURGH! Kill the designers. But now, after watching the promo, I haven't made a change of mind so fast. However, I am not saying I am completley changed. A two second preview of it in action, and I am not going to completley base all my hopes on this.

The suits = <3. I love every aspect of them, they look so awesome.
That's all I have to say on it.

Ya' the suits are definatley awesome. Nothing comes close to Go-On Red's, I absolutely love it.

Yeah, kind of like a mix between Black Bull, Gao Black and DekaMaster. If you ask me.

When I first saw the suit I was a little worried but after seeing them in action they look badass thought I want to see the mecha in the show before I declare it worst mecha ever.

Well, My first thought on the suit designs are nicely done. Kind of have that mix between Liveman, Turboranger, Carranger, and Gaoranger in that order. Not too shabby, I might say. The designs for the vehicles and the Mecha are a little blah. If you know what I mean. As for the cast and the theme music, well I've got nothing on them.

I don't know where the hate comes from. It's not a bad song... not great imo, but doable. I'd be willing to bet I'll get used to it and like it. They had "Go-onger" to work with, cut 'em some slack.

In the very brief clip of the mecha, it looked pretty awesome in action, fast and sleek CG (kind of like a more up to date style of what Deka had, hopefully).

HORRIBLE!

The suits suck hard! I'm just not a fan of retro. The helmets are hideous, the suspenders are an eyesore, and the Batman utility belts are worst than Geki's beltless look. Nice touch with their cuff details being tire track texture, but their suits still make me angry :shakefist

Do their blasters look like gas-pumps?

I have little hope in their team jackets. They look ok, if it wasn't for that huge text all over the front. What does it say? Will wait for better images. Yellow looks cute.

Meh, I'm not excited. They've ran out of ideas for years, now. I miss Deka and its sophisticated helmet design and Swat-mode armor.
