GTA 6 Is As Expensive As You Thought, But Also More So

The buzz around GTA 6 is insane, and honestly, I'm not surprised at the price tag they're putting on it. With the level of detail and the expansive world they're promising, it's pretty much a given that it'd come with a hefty cost. But I'm just hoping that it delivers on all fronts, story, gameplay, and especially online features. It feels like they have a lot to live up to considering how beloved GTA 5 is.

What do you all think? Do you believe the price will turn some fans away, or is the hype enough to justify it? I'm curious to see how they'll tackle the single-player narrative this time around!

The storage requirement is what worries me more than the price. I can save up for an $80 game, but buying another SSD is a different story. Games are getting so big that I end up deleting other games just to make room. I hope Rockstar found a way to keep the file size reasonable because not everyone wants to keep upgrading storage every year.

I'm actually okay with GTA 6 being single-player only at launch. I miss when Rockstar focused on telling a good story first instead of pushing everyone into online. If they really spent 13 years making this game, I want to experience the campaign without worrying about multiplayer events or live service updates. They can always release an online mode later if they want. A great single-player GTA is enough to make me happy.

The download code inside a physical box feels pointless to me. I enjoy collecting game cases because they remind me of the games I finished over the years. If there's no disc inside, then it doesn't really feel like owning a physical copy anymore. It almost feels like paying extra for plastic packaging. I know technology changes, but I still think collectors deserve a real physical edition if they're spending this much money.
