Looking for Thought-Provoking Anime That Inspire Deeper Discussion

[Justin J]

I've been getting into some heavier anime, and I'm really interested in shows that provoke thought and inspire discussion among viewers. What are some titles that not only have compelling stories but also touch on complex themes or philosophies? I'm eager to hear what you all think!

For thought-provoking anime, you can't go wrong with "Ghost in the Shell." It raises questions about consciousness and identity that can lead to deep discussions. Then there's "Attack on Titan," which gets into themes of freedom, morality, and the cyclical nature of violence. If you're looking for something more recent, "Oshi no Ko" has been making waves for its commentary on celebrity culture and the impact of fame on personal identity. All these shows have layers that invite viewers to think critically and discuss.

What kinds of themes are you most interested in exploring?
