“Broker” is a 2022 Korean drama film, categorized as Comedy-Drama and also as an arthouse social drama. Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda received high praise for this movie. ♦ Leave Your Baby. We Sell Your Baby. Fair Exchange. Right? “Broker” is about two brokers who sell unwanted babies to wealthy couples who can’t have children of their own. This Broker movie sounds like it tackles some real social issues. The Baby Moses Law is a good thing, but clearly, there are gaps in the system. Desperate mothers, illegal adoption...it's a complex situation. I'm curious to see how the film portrays the characters' motivations. Are the brokers truly heartless, or is there more to the story? Hmm, Broker sounds interesting, but I gotta admit, the whole 'falling in love with baby sellers' angle is a bit much. Isn't exploiting vulnerable people kind of...well, exploitative? Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm cautious. Korean dramas can be amazing, but this one sounds like it might tread a fine line.
