What Am I made for?
In “Baby Girl”, Nicole Kidman is a CEO who can’t control her lust! The film will be released on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, in the USA. Nicole Kidman plays a corporate CEO named Romy who decides to have an affair with a younger intern named Samuel played by Harris Dickinson. The temptation and the allure are not just that the intern is younger but that the affair involves BDSM (bondage, discipline (or domination), sadism, and masochism). Antonio Banderas plays Jacob, the husband. It’s almost hilariously ironic that the actor once described as “so de sexy” in an SNL skit gets his bed robbed by a younger man. Could the young man possibly be more “de sexy”? It was probably the husband’s gray beard that caused his wife to desire “forbidden fruit”. The CEO is not just willing to risk losing her husband but destroying her entire family relationship, i.e her husband and children, just for her sexual gratification. Some say this movie is similar to “Indecent Proposal” (1993) or “Basic Instinct” (1992). I think a better comparison is “Fifty Shades of Gray” (2015). If you liked this type of movie, then “Baby Girl” is for you. But note that

I'm not really a fan of this kind of drama. A CEO having an affair with a younger intern? Sounds like a cliche to me. And the whole BDSM thing? Just not my taste. I prefer my movies to be a little more wholesome. Maybe if they focused more on the emotional journey of the characters and less on the explicit content, I'd be interested. But based on what I've read, this isn't really my cup of tea.

LOL she is paired with younger guys a lot these days. This is the third time she's been paired with a younger actor onscreen. First, it was Zac Efron when he was a twink, then she reunited with him when he was all bulked up. The age difference wasn't as noticeable in their second film because Zac's muscles and tan made him look older. Now she's got a new young partner. Maybe she just has a type?

@WAPhunter Age is just a number, and Nicole Kidman is a prime example of that. It’s ridiculous to suggest that she’s too old to be in an erotic thriller. Women of all ages have the right to explore their sexuality and express themselves creatively. Age shouldn’t be a barrier to artistic expression. It’s refreshing to see a woman over 50 taking on a role that challenges societal norms and expectations. Let’s celebrate her boldness and her talent.

This is interesting! The whole "powerful woman, forbidden affair" thing has been done before, but adding BDSM into the mix definitely throws a curveball. I wonder how they'll handle that on screen. Will it be gratuitous or will it actually add something to the story? The comparison to "Fifty Shades of Grey" worries me a little, not gonna lie. That movie wasn't exactly a masterpiece. But hey, at least the audience rating is higher for "Baby Girl." Maybe it has more substance? I'm also curious about the "Crime and Mystery" aspect. Is there more to this affair than just some steamy encounters? Is the husband going to find out? Does someone get murdered? (Okay, maybe not murdered, but you get the idea.) I'll have to keep an eye out for reviews to see if the mystery holds up.

Nicole Kidman playing a CEO throwing away her whole life for a fling with a younger guy? That's some serious drama right there. I mean, I get that passion can cloud your judgment sometimes, but risking your family and career for a temporary thrill? Seems a bit reckless to me. Maybe there's a deeper reason for her actions, some kind of emotional void she's trying to fill. Or maybe she's just a control freak who needs to dominate every aspect of her life, even her love life. Whatever the reason, I can't help but feel a little bad for Antonio Banderas' character. Dude deserves better! Still, the whole forbidden romance angle is kind of fascinating. There's something about watching powerful people crumble under the weight of their desires. Just hope the movie doesn't glorify this kind of behavior.

Nicole Kidman looks amazing for her age! I wish I could look that good when I'm her age. She's definitely aging well

I'm actually quite intrigued by the BDSM element in this movie. It's not something I've seen explored in a mainstream film before. I wonder how they'll handle it. Will it be tasteful or will it be exploitative? I hope they treat it with respect and sensitivity. The rest of the premise seems a bit predictable, but I'm curious to see how the characters develop. Nicole Kidman is a great actress, so I'm sure she'll bring a lot to the role.
