Street Fighter 6 Year 3 Characters Revealed, Featuring Kenny Omega’s Cosplays

Street Fighter 6 Year 3 Characters Revealed, Featuring Kenny Omega’s Hilarious Cosplays! The moment the FGC has been waiting for has arrived! Street Fighter 6 continues its impressive run, and the recent Summer Games Fest delivered an exciting reveal for its Year 3 characters. After a fantastic Season 1 that brought us Rashid, Akuma, Ed, and A.K.I., and what many are calling the “crossover year” in Year 2 with the iconic additions of Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, alongside M. Bison and Elena, fans have been looking forward to seeing who will join the fight next. Before we proceed to the trailer, Capcom just released the Costume 3 of all Season 2 characters. Street Fighter 6 Year 2 characters costume 3 The new trailer, starring none other the wrestling superstar Kenny Omega, did not disappoint! Street Fighter 6 – Year 3 Character Reveal Trailer The reveal trailer kicks off in what appears to be the locker room of a wrestling company, likely AEW, given Omega’s affiliation. We see Kenny Omega, shirtless and in his ring gear, resting post-match, probably contemplating his next combo. He opens his locker, and in the mirror, a surprising reflection greets him: he’s cosplaying […]

As someone who’s mained Sagat since Street Fighter II, I’ve been waiting for this moment since SF6 launched. I felt like something was missing in the roster, and now it finally feels whole again. Sagat isn’t just a character to me—he represents a playstyle I connect with: strong control, powerful zoning, and punishing precision. The reveal trailer was definitely unexpected—I never imagined seeing Kenny Omega cosplay as him, let alone pull off the laugh. It was goofy, yeah, but I can’t deny I smiled seeing my guy get the spotlight again.

My main concern now is how they’ve adapted Sagat for SF6’s mechanics. Will Tiger Shot still dominate neutral? How will Drive Impact affect his zoning game? I want him to feel like the king again, not just nostalgia bait. And I hope they don’t slow him down too much just to “balance” the roster. Give him power, but keep him fair.

The classic costume being back is a huge plus. That’s the Sagat I know—scarred chest, eye patch, and that stance that says, “I earned this.” I’m already planning to hit the lab day one and figure out the new tech. For old Sagat mains like me, this is more than just another DLC—it’s a return of the King.

Finally, some respect for C. Viper! I’ve been waiting years for her to get acknowledged again. When Street Fighter V came and went without her, I honestly felt let down. She brought something different to the series—fast movement, feints, cancels, high execution, and that sleek spy design. None of the newer characters really filled that gap for me. Seeing her in the trailer—even if it was Kenny Omega in drag—was unexpected, but I’ll take what I can get.

Honestly, with those transformations, Kenny Omega should consider giving RuPaul a call. I mean, obviously his talents are just begging for a spot on Drag Race. Because, you know, being a world-class wrestler and fighting game enthusiast just isn't quite enough for such obvious untapped potential in the drag world. I'm sure Ru's just dying to have him.

I’m not sure I’ll ever recover from what I saw in that trailer. Kenny Omega as Ingrid... I mean, I knew it was supposed to be funny, but it caught me so off guard I nearly dropped my phone. The man is a great performer, I respect him, but there was something deeply unsettling about watching a full-grown wrestler try to recreate Ingrid’s graceful kicks in a magical girl outfit—complete with sparkles and twirls. I actually paused the video and had to stare at a blank wall for a few minutes.

Ingrid’s design has always been divisive, but now I think it’s cursed. That fall Omega took trying to copy her kick? That felt like my brain shutting down. I can’t decide if it was hilarious or if I need therapy. I’ll give Capcom this—they know how to leave an impression. I just didn’t expect that impression to live in my nightmares.

Please, if Ingrid ever comes back as a playable character, just give her a normal reveal. No more Omega in heels. I’m begging.

Kenny Omega cosplaying as Alex was brilliant. Alex is often forgotten as a main character, so it’s nice to see him get a shoutout. But the real surprise was Ingrid. Her inclusion, even in a comedic scene, might hint at her return. She has a strange place in Street Fighter history—first appearing in Capcom Fighting Evolution, and then mostly ignored. Capcom is clearly playing with fan expectations. Sagat being the first Year 3 character is great, but now I’m even more curious who the other three will be. Maybe another guest character?

Loved this trailer. It was funny, creative, and gave us Sagat. Capcom is doing things right this time. Can’t wait to see more.

Sagat being first is a statement. Capcom knows he’s one of the most iconic fighters, and his absence in the base roster was always noticeable. I'm hoping he plays a more balanced zoning role this time—not as oppressive as SFIV, but still strong. The inclusion of characters like C. Viper and Ingrid in the trailer also caught my attention. If Ingrid is coming back, that’s going to shake things up. She’s divisive, but she brings something totally different. I hope they rework her mechanics if she’s actually on the Year 3 roster.

I can't believe they showed Ingrid, even as a joke. I've been waiting for her return for years. People underestimate how much she could bring to the game visually and mechanically. She has this elegance that’s missing in most modern characters. If Capcom is teasing her now, maybe they’re finally giving her a chance in the mainline series. She deserves more than cameos and spin-offs. Even if this is just Omega being silly, I’m still hoping.

Look, I don’t care about Ingrid or Omega’s dress-ups. I want Fei Long. I want Dudley. I want characters who feel like fighters, not anime mascots or spies with gadgets. Sagat being back is good, but I hope the rest of the Year 3 cast isn’t all about being flashy. Just give me solid footsies, strong normals, and clean design.
