Ever since 3D printers became more widely available, it’s become increasingly common for them to be used to produce tabletop gaming figures. Where previously you were limited to pre-made figures created by other people, now you can pick from thousands of model files on the Internet to find the perfect match for any world you can dream up. Loot Studios is one of the companies designed to meet this new need — they specialize in 3D printable tabletop figures and their latest offering is….one big hombre. Presenting Izat’al, Dragon Empress — one of the most immense statues Loot Studios has ever offered. Imagine how your buddies will react when this giant multi-headed creature makes its presence known on the table. It’s so big that it has to be printed in pieces — some assembly is required, but it’s worth it. The dragon is inspired by Tiamat, a monster from Mesopotamian mythology that has its own established D&D variant. Izat’al is part of the Rise of Draconians set, which comes with its own 30-page digital minibook of backstory for worldbuilding. The bundle also includes printable hero characters like Syndra Burrfoot, Abras Elernam and Alart the Spearknight, eight environment elements, four busts, […]

Loot Studios nailed it again! The thought of a six-headed dragon deity like Izat’al makes me want to rewrite my entire campaign just to fit her in. The lore, heroes, and environment elements make it easy to drop this into any setting. My players are going to hate me—in the best way!

For $15 a month, this feels like a steal. The amount of work that goes into creating the STL files, lore, and supplementary materials is incredible. I’ve subscribed to Loot Studios before, and they never disappoint. Izat’al might just be their best offering yet—time to dust off my printer!

I’m new to both D&D and 3D printing, so this sounds intimidating. That said, the mention of a “3D Printing Hero” course caught my attention. If they really offer resources to help beginners like me, I might give it a try. Izat’al looks amazing, and it’d be fun to surprise my gaming group with something so unique.

This is such a fantastic concept! As a mythology nerd, I love how they drew inspiration from Tiamat for Izat’al’s design and lore. The six-headed Dragon Empress idea feels so rich and cinematic. I’m not currently a Loot Studios subscriber, but I might sign up just for December. Even if I don’t end up printing everything, having access to the lore and stat blocks alone makes it tempting.

As a DM who loves spicing up campaigns with visually stunning elements, this set looks like a dream come true! I’ve been following Loot Studios for a while, and their attention to detail is unparalleled. Izat’al sounds like an absolute showstopper, and I can already imagine my players’ reactions when she shows up on the battlefield. Sure, the $15 subscription isn’t pocket change, but the value in terms of creativity and detail is worth every penny. I’m sold!
