The Walking Dead is a dominant force in media. It’s a successful comic, has not one, but two successful TV series, and has had numerous video game titles. And now at E3 2017, it has been revealed that Walking Dead is coming to VR through mutliple titles!
These games will come via Skybound Entertainment and Skydance Interactive, with the first game being a narrative experience, and will feature both a new setting, and a new cast of characters.
“The Walking Dead, it all comes back to moral choice and what would you do as the player. That’s sort of the essential principal pillar of the IP. I think that’s what people who either read the comic, watch the show, play the games,” added Skybound President of Interactive Dan Murray during an interview with IGN. “What better way to experience that than being in the environment itself?”
There’s no major details on story or plot, nor a release date, but we will likely hear about it soon.
