Destiny Helps Gamers Get Engaged
According to a report by Gamestop, the developers at Bungie did something pretty special by helping two Destiny players get engaged to be wed. The players who got engaged through Destiny are game developers Rami Ismail and Adriel Wallick.
Wallick actually proposed in the game using some pieces of custom content that Bungie helped put together for the couple. The engagement also included a unique emote that let Wallick propose by going down on one knee using an artifact called the Ring of Eternity. There was also a letter at the postmaster that had the question for Ismail.
Ismail confirmed that he said yes to the engagement proposal. The happy couple thanked Bungie for the help, indicating that marketing producer Poria Torkan specifically helped out for the plan, writing, “[Poria Torkan] somehow managed to convince an entire team at Bungie to dedicate time and effort to such a dorky proposal.”
Overall, it’s a cute story and a nice feel good moment for the Destiny franchise. Destiny’s latest expansion, Rise of Iron, was recently released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The expansion was not released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game though.
