DC Reveals Second Printing Covers For Superman/Spider-Man #1

It’s not that much of a shock DC is going to be reprinting Superman/Spider-Man #1; of course that title was going to sell. What is interesting is that this second printing will come with unique covers that weren’t part of the first print run. Usually second-print variants will just have a color difference or some slight variation, but not this time. This time they went all-out:

Check out this new cover by by Dan Mora, featuring Supes and Spidey soaring above….well, a white void? They’re not in Kansas anymore, or NYC or Metropolis. I suppose they’ll figure it out.

There’s more: there’s this variant cover by Jorge Jimenez (they’re in the Yellow Zone now)…

this scene by Yasmine Putri of Lex Luthor battling Venom in midair…

…and finally Superboy Prime and Black Suit Spider-Man by Gabriele Dell’Otto (I know I’ve seen this one already, but this time it will be reprinted on shiny foil).

The contents inside will be the same:

Story 1, “Truth, Justice, and Great Responsibility” by Mark Waid, Jorge Jiménez, Tomeu Morey and Tom Napolitano

Story 2, ” The World’s Finest” by Tom King, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair and Pat Brosseau

Story 3, “Pages” by Christopher Priest, Daniel Sampere, Alejandro Sánchez and Willie Schubert

Story 4, “Beyond the Cobwebs of Tomorrow” by Sean Murphy, Simon Gough and Andworld Design

Story 5, “Jimmy Con Carnage” by Matt Fraction, Steve Lieber, Nathan Fairbairn and Clayton Cowles

Story 6, “The Bridge” by Jeff Lemire, Rafa Sandoval, Ulises Arreola and Becca Carey

Story 7, “Bias” by Greg Rucka, Nicola Scott, Marcelo Maiolo, and Ariana Maher

Story 8, “Blind Date” by Gail Simone, Belén Ortega, Jordie Bellaire and Lucas Gattoni

The second printing of Superman/Spider-Man #1 will arrive in comic shops on May 27, but it’d be silly to wait until then when first printing copies are out there now.
