Cut Scene From Civil War Teased Comic Story?
Captain America: Civil War was already a pretty packed film. Not only did it bring back many of the Avengers and the Winter Soldier, but it introduced new characters like Black Panther, Spider-Man, and Zemo. As such, with all of these characters running and flying around, there were a lot of references, in-jokes, and more. In an interview with the Russo brothers, who directed the film, IGN found out there were actually more references cut from the film, including one very dear to the Russo’s hearts:
“There is a scene that is a cut scene. It’s a small piece of the fight at Leipzig where there’s a very fun interaction between Cap and Bucky, and it kind of hints at a favorite storyline in the books,” Anthony Russo said. “I won’t go into the detail about it, but there’s a little tease in that scene that is pretty fun.”
“It’s a comic book story, and I can’t say whether or not it’s going to factor in to the movies,” Anthony Russo said when asked for specifics about the scene.
Despite the teases, no true reveal was given, and it’s likely that the scene will only be shown when it releases for DVD. Civil War will arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray September 13th.
