“Cinderella at 2 AM” is a 2024 Viki Original Korean drama series, with 10 episodes, based on a web novel of the same name, and can be categorized as Workplace or Office, Rich Boy/Poor Girl, Fantasy, and Romantic Comedy (Rom-Com).
SUMMARY: In “Cinderella at 2 AM”, Ha Yun-Seo was in a romantic relationship with her co-worker Seo Ju-Won. She thought he was just a regular guy. Turns out he’s a chaebol and an heir to the company she works for. When his mother finds out about the relationship she pays Ha Yun-Seo money to break up with her son. She takes the money but asked her boyfriend to give her 2 months to end it, hoping that during that time frame she will have given him plenty of reasons to no longer want to be in the relationship.
♦ Only Two Months to Lose My Boyfriend
In “Cinderella at 2 AM”, Ha Yun-Seo is a single working woman, who has a job as a Team Leader at AL Group. Seo Ju-Won is assigned to work on her team and as time passes they begin a romantic relationship. Everything was fine until she discovered that he was a third-generation chaebol. Not that there’s anything wrong with being rich, even though she always paid for the meals when they went on dates. But he should have told her from the start.
What should she do? Continue the relationship? What would people at work think of her? But Ha Yun-Seo did not have to decide because Seo Ju-Won’s mother decided for her. She offered to pay Ha Yun-Seo to break up with her son. Ha Yun-Seo agreed but asked the mother to give her two months to sever the relationship. If she broke up with him right away, he might become suspicious. She said she planned to make him want to break up with her. The mother agreed but said two months or else!
Is the Internet a technological marvel? Do you know that if you are clueless about how to lose a boyfriend, you could search for suggestions on the World Wide Web. Ha Yun-Seo is a sweet and kind-hearted person. Being mean and nasty is a challenge. Especially if you have to act that way toward someone you love dearly. But Ha Yun-Seo had agreed with the woman who practically threatened to never-become-her-mother-in-law and that agreement must be honored. She already took the money and besides … fairy tales aren’t real.
But what happens if no matter what Ha Yun-Seo does, Seo Ju-Won just won’t end the relationship? Can it be that hard to make the guy hate her? She better try very hard because it’s easier to live through a breakup than it is to live with a disapproving mother-in-law.

My personal rating is the same as My Drama List: 8 out of 10 stars.
Clearly, reviewers on Dramabeans do not want to show “Cinderella at 2 AM” any love. LOL. As for me, I wasn’t really expecting much. It has the word “Cinderella” in the title. Who doesn’t know the story of Cinderella? By not having high expectations, I was not disappointed. Some K-dramas cause me to have bad dreams or a restless night. Put this show just before you’re ready to go to sleep and you won’t have bad dreams. It’s too cute and cheesy.
If you’re into Cinderella and/or spins on the fairy tale, add these K-dramas to your watch list:
