Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta in Oct.
Activision officially announced this week that there will be a Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer Beta. In edition, it kicks off on October 14 for the PlayStation 4 console. Gamers who pre-order the game on PlayStation 4 will get first access to the multiplayer beta session. Further details on the beta will be revealed soon.
In addition, all 16 of the original multiplayer maps will be released for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered version of the game. It was previously announced as only 10 maps at launch. Well, the additional six maps from the original game will be available in December to gamers at no additional cost.
Another reveal at Call of Duty XP was the Jackal Assault. This is a Call of Duty PlayStation VR experience for the game. This experience will be offered later this year to gamers on the PlayStation 4 version as a free added bonus. This version will put gamers into the cockpit and in control of a Jackal fighter jet. The game will be playable this weekend at Call of Duty XP.
Speaking on the news, Activision’s Rob Kostich stated “There’s a ton of excitement here at Call of Duty XP. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Call of Duty fans to celebrate and enjoy everything this franchise has to offer. We’re continuing the momentum from XP next month as fans around the world will be able to join us online to play in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta, which will give fans a chance to play multiplayer early and will help us to further polish the MP experience as we head into launch.”
He added, “The Jackal Assault is a cool, fun extension that’s inspired by Infinite Warfare. We’re excited to not only share this experience with Call of Duty XP fans this weekend, but give it for free to all Infinite Warfare PS4 players later this year.”
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare hits the shelves on November 4. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
