Cable To Have “Four-Movie Arc” Starting In Deadpool 2

At the end of the first Deadpool movie, a very special end credits scene stated that the time-traveling mutant Cable would be coming in the sequel. The world was shocked when Josh Brolin, who is the voice of Thanos in the coming set of Avengers films, would also be playing the fan-favorite mutant. Deadpool 2 trailers have shown him off to good effect, and reshoots even happened because early screening audiences wanted to see more Cable in the film.

Well, should the film do well, and many expect Deadpool 2 to do well, they won’t have to worry about it to much, because according to Brolin, Cable will have a four-movie arc that’ll start in his debut film.

“We think about it in four movie terms. We tried to think of Cable as a full arc, not just in this movie, but in the trajectory of four films. That made it a lot more fun for me,” he told Empire Magazine.

This makes sense in a lot of ways. Because Deadpool 2 seems to paint Cable as more of a renegade with a mission than a guy trying to save the future per se. And X-Force is supposedly coming after the film so that could be another appearance, and two film sequels later and he’ll be done…maybe.
