Avengers: Infinity War Won’t Be Small In Scale
Marvel, in the films that it runs in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe, know how to balance scale in terms of the characters in their films. If a film does have numerous characters, with many moving parts via storylines, it’s usually all interconnected by the end. As Phase 3 looms, we’re seeing more and more scale in the rosters for each movie. Captain America: Civil War is essentially an Avengers film, and the next true Avengers film, Infinity War, will likely be even bigger than that. Though, some fans worry that the scale of Infinity War won’t be as big as they hope it could be, especially given the grand nature of what likely will be the film’s plot, the villain Thanos, and the fact that it’s two movies.
The Directors of Avengers: Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo, revealed in an interview that fans shouldn’t worry about how many characters will be in the film, after all, there’s been a lot of buildup to this point:
“There are 20 movies behind them, they’re the culmination of twenty films,” said Joe Russo. “You won’t be disappointed in the scale of those movies or of the number of characters that are in them. As mentioned, it’s the culmination of 20 movies, and so 20 films of storytelling will intersect in those movies.”
Avengers: Infinity War begins in May 2018.
