Free League Publishing released Alien: The Roleplaying Game last December and it quickly took off to become one of their biggest hits. Critics loved it, tabletop enthusiasts ate it up, and it sold well enough to register in the top 5 best-selling tabletop RPGs of the fall….so that means one thing: expansion time!
Two additional products connected to Alien: The Roleplaying Game were announced by Free League on April 26 (4/26, Alien Day). One is the Starter Set, which is basically a mini version of the full game to get newcomers’ toes wet. It comes with 104-page softcover abridged rulebook, 20 custom dice, reference cards, character handouts, a huge starmap, and one complete scenario: Chariot of the Gods by sci-fi author Andrew E.C. Gaska. The Starter Set is cheaper than the full version, bearing a price of $49.99.
But for those who already own the full game and want MORE, not less, Free League presents the expansion Destroyer Of Worlds. It is a sequel to Chariot of the Gods, also written by Gaska. “A team of Colonial Marines get dropped onto the moon Ariaricus to handle a growing insurgency, but soon find themselves fighting for their lives against enemies beyond their worst nightmares,” reads the official plot synopsis. Destroyer of Worlds comes with maps, handouts and cards at only $29.99.
There is no release date listed for either the Starter Set or the Destroyer of Worlds expansion, but preorders are open now. Go to alien-rpg.com to get yours in.

You might be confused when reading the next big event in Dead By Daylight revolves around Saw, as the franchise already got a Killer and Survivor to represent it. Is a second set on the way? Not really. The spotlight is going back on some previously introduced characters, Killer The
After some delays, Free League is finally ready to launch Tales From The Loop: The Board Game. If you think you’ve seen this before, you haven’t….well, you have, just not in THIS form. The Tales From The Loop board game is set in the same world as the roleplaying game,
We surmised earlier that Dead By Daylight was leaning more on original characters lately because all the classic ones had been done already. Looks like we forgot one. The vengeful antagonist of the Japanese horror movie Ringu will be added to the game soon. Take note that this isn’t Samara,
